Really liked the room, spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The hotel facilities were excellent - the breakfast sets you for the day.
Probably location in a very busy part of Kuta with narrow side streets but once inside the hotel a different world.

The staff is amazing.
We normally do not write negative reviews, because we know how hard hotel staff work and we truly experienced that here as well. The staff were kind, patient and genuinely tried to help us throughout the entire situation. That deserves to be said first.
However, we do feel future guests should know that the overall condition of this hotel did not match the high Booking score or our expectations for a Marriott property.
From the moment we entered the first room, there was a very strong humid/moldy smell. The entire room felt damp. Even after hours of air conditioning, the floor remained wet/slippery and the bedding still felt moist. Our 4-year-old son even slipped in the bathroom because of the wet floor.
We immediately reported the issue through Booking.com and at the reception. To the hotel’s credit, they did take the complaint seriously and moved us to another room. They even placed an extra dehumidifier machine in the room. Unfortunately, the second room had the same overall problem: extreme humidity, damp air and that same unpleasant smell.
At that point we no longer felt comfortable staying there for the remainder of our trip. The hotel eventually agreed to let us cancel the remaining nights through Booking.com, but we still lost part of the money we had already paid as a cancellation fee, despite genuinely trying to make the stay work first. That left us with a bittersweet feeling.
This review is not written out of anger. It is written because we honestly feel that a large international brand like Marriott should invest more into maintaining and renovating this property properly. We have stayed in other Marriott hotels before, including in Sri Lanka, and had wonderful experiences. That is why this situation surprised us so much.
Again: the people working there were warm and professional. Our disappointment is mainly with the condition and maintenance of the hotel itself.
The hotel is beautiful, with great design, and the staff are excellent. It is very well located, has a bar with affordable prices, and is close to convenience stores, the beach and a shopping mall. For me, it was easily a 10, although there are two small things that could be improved to make it perfect.
There were only two things that could be improved. The room cleaning needs some work, as the floor was somewhat dirty. I booked half board, but the restaurant had a fixed package for this option, which fell short of what I had expected. The choices were very limited, so in this respect I was expecting more
The resort was very clean, staff were incredible. Please note rooms are a bit dated however extremely well maintained and very clean which is what was important.
Decor was a bit outdated, walls were aged and the photos didnt show how dated facilities were.

The breakfast was amazing, such a large choice, loved sitting outside. The room was exceptionally clean and I had a great night’s sleep. Had the chicken kebabs for dinner, so yummy!!
