Beverly Hills Hotel

I would like to strongly complain regarding the hotel accommodation which was not as advertised, nor was the photographs on your site a true reflection of the accommodation.

The faults with the accommodation were as follows:

The room was damp and dirty, ie. dirty walls with mold and other stains, including coffee stains etc. The sheets had cigarette burns (yet this was supposed to be a non-smoking room). The bathroom was absolutely filthy and had not been cleaned - toilet had black stains all around the inside rim, the wash pipe used for toileting purposes leaked and, therefore, the bathroom was flooded. No bathroom toiletries were available as advertised, except for a small bar of USED soap. Mold on the walls and ceiling. The 2 towels provided had stains on them and were threadbare. The headboard of the bed was dirty and scratched. The balcony was flooded and full of mold also.

The property was also advertised as being near the sea and, yes it was, except to get to the sea (which didn't have a beach) you had to cross a railway track!

staff is amazing, very friendly. food is good. Concerning the room it worth the price. thank you beverly hills

Dobrá lokalita, blízko pláže (200 m, 5 min). Recepcia 24 hod na 1 poschodí. WiFi zdarma. Na izbe č. 303 je TV, stropný ventilátor , Klimatizácia (za poplatok), telefon, balkón.V umyvadle len studená voda. Na hlavnej ulici Calle Road (cca 5 min) sa nachádza autobusová zastávka „Hotel Road „ z ktorej jazdia autobusy (linky 100, 101) do Colomba – Pettah Bus Station. Na prízemí sa nachádza nočný klub s hudbou v čase od 8.00 do 5.00 hod. Doporučujeme.

Det var det smutsigaste och äckligaste hotell jag bott på. Lakanen var fläckiga och hade brännhål. Balkongen var smutsig, balkongmöblerna var äckliga, väggarna mögliga och elen till luftkonditioneringen vågade vi inte gå i närheten av. I både diskbänk, handfat och dusch såg det ut som ingen hade gjort rent efter de senaste fem tio gästerna, det var knappt man ville gå in i badrummet och det gick knappt att sitta på toaletten eftersom en mycket lortig tvättmaskin stod alldeles intill den.

This hotel is located perfectly near the beach and also connects to the road at a very reasonable distance. The staff are very friendly and very accommodative. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel situated in a very good location right next to the beach and restaurants etc. The rooms are nice and spacious. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome during our stay.

Decent room with a/c/ TV and really helpful and cordial hotel management. Beach at walking distance and also near the main street .

Excellent stay, loved the staff; they were so kind and helpful by letting prolong our stay till our flight. Oh and I must mention how delicious/cheap their food is!

It's a good hotel to stay in.. I read the reviews and was in double mind to book the hotel.. But worth a risk.. Hotel is renovated and nice. Hotel staff were awesome and very humble.. Good hot water and wifi is there.. All basic amenities covered and I got the deal @ 1300 INR so it's overall a great experience..
Oly problm is the power cut which is ther in the entire colombo i guess... I hope it will soon be sorted out..

i loved my stay and the people were so great I stayed the entire time with no payment voucher promised to them from Hotels.com. They saw my confirmation yet they are not an active member of Hotels.com. Yet they trusted hotels.com would give them the money. they still weren't paid because the overseas hotel.com did not understand what was going on. I do not know the consequences of my stay but they did not charge me and I left and they have no guarantee of payment. I believe the past owners were members but the present owners of 2 months are not participants yet except for expedia they say.

when we went to hotel (2 families with 2 children) there were lizards in room on 1st floor and owner Surendra told us that from 2nd jan he has just taken over hotel after sacking earlier management, they did not posses our expedia voucher as well!
Another room on 4th floor was not ready and had lizard , we had no choice but to move out and go hunting for another hotel (got another near one)
Owner Surendra was nice and did not insist on any thing. He helped us in reloading our van!
Issue is with expedia they should have been aware that hotel management has been sacked and hotel not ready for occupancy. Owner and staff are not problem since repairs are on, property is near beach
Expedia needs to be alert they should have informed us! This problem was expedia's! I suffered due to expedia!
