Nice hotel but I’m not sure it’s four star . Lovely rooftop pool . Comfy beds , would stay again
Pros:

It was difficult spending any time in the room and the furniture was a little uncomfortable and I understand that doors and shutters keep the heat out but it did feel a little bit like a prison cell at times . However the swimming pool was lovely and I spent quite a bit of time in there . Lovely roof top area . Breakfast great . Air con went off a couple of times for no reason but the staff soon rectified this for me . The shower in the room was very good but awkward configuration with top and bottom glass panels . Flooded the floor a lot . No tea and coffee in the room or a kettle which could catch a few visitors out . Would stay again if I was in the area again .

Cons:

No complimentary kettle , tea or coffee. Felt a bit shut in as I couldn’t see out of the window due to shutters but I understand the reason why . Shower kept flooding the bathroom

A charming hotel with a resident dog.
Pros:

Friendly staff. The property has lots of character. Great view of the ancient tower from our small balcony. Four minute walk to the train station. Varied, plentiful and tasty breakfast offerings. Good restaurants, take away pizza and gelato within a short walk. We were a group of three. The room was a bit small so they accommodated with providing an adjoining room at a very reasonable rate. Room cleaned and fresh towels every day. Great base camp for exploring Tuscany.

Cons:

Shower is very small.

Great location and good value.
Pros:

Breakfast is excellent, great selection and well presented. Room had a fantastic shower, good air conditioning and comfy beds. Well located to attend the Vintage Festival.

Cons:

Breakfast room was too hot. There were long queues at the coffee machine. You can ask at the bar for a coffee, the dining room staff would offer it to some guests, I was told to queue at the machine! The ‘pool’ on the roof is tiny and the sunbathing area is small, congested and fills up early. We gave up trying to use it.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Grande cordialità del personale, colazione a buffet molto soddisfacente. Perfetta la posizione rispetto al centro storico di Castiglione. Ci torneremo presto

Posizione buona, ottima colazione, stanza e bagno grandi

Cons:

La struttura nel complesso è discreta, ma per un hotel 4 stelle mi sarei aspettato una maggiore cura del bagno, che a mio avviso avrebbe bisogno di essere rivisitato e ammodernato. In particolare, sanitari e box doccia non sono all’altezza della categoria dichiarata.

Anche la dotazione dei prodotti da bagno è risultata piuttosto essenziale: erano presenti solamente due piccoli flaconi di bagnoschiuma e nessuno shampoo, un dettaglio che in una struttura a 4 stelle ritengo dovrebbe essere maggiormente curato.

Nel complesso, considerando soprattutto questi aspetti, la mia valutazione è quella di un 4 stelle piuttosto scarso, con alcuni interventi necessari per essere realmente in linea con gli standard che ci si aspetta da questa categoria.
