Staff, large carpark, comfortable bed
Bathroom had a unpleasant smell, Bathroom not very clean, room needed a better clean
Friendly welcome, nice room although a little on the tired side. Lots of character in the building. Easy to find and good parking. Very good meal, good beer. Didn't see or hear any ghosts!
The only downside was the kitchen extract fan on the outside wall of the room. This ran all night and the humming noise reminded me of my time on a ship! I assume this had been left on in error as it must have cost a fortune in electricity.
Room very nice
Bathroom needs attention. Mould and small flies everywhere . Food was poor
The staff were friendly and welcoming
The ‘suite’ we were staying in was grubby; there were cobwebs everywhere, and a dead bee was stuck near an upper window - caught in the cobwebs. It must have been there for weeks.
In two of the three connected rooms, none of the electrical sockets worked.
The quirkiness of the building and that it had a bath which was good for a detox
Owing to weather the tv satellite was on the fritz
Lovely and quiet
The Bar Area, Dinner/restaurant although service slow, Helpful/hardworking but limited staff. Ample car parking off road.
Lack of daily room servicing, No breakfast available. Short staffed.
No flushing toilet.
Stagnant water in bath
Bed is comfy and rooms are warm and cosy!
Shower temperature is slightly temperamental
The whole experience was brilliant could not find a single fault.
The room was warm and spacious and well furnished. Big bed and nice towels. Appreciated the tea making facilities (but only 2 T-bags for a double room!) Plenty of parking and very convenient for Sparkford Hall
The room felt a bit dirty and tired - the bath had a scum ring, the sealant was very mouldy. I think the bed was clean but the quilt smelt strongly of another person so it felt like sleeping in a stranger's bed.
Very comfortable bed.
Very weak shower . No breakfast on offer in any form and not really near other options especially on a Sunday
