Situation et calme
I can't say enough about Odeon Hotel! After my 4th stay, this is truly a gem in the heart of old Paris. A perfect boutique hotel with old Parisian charm, and modern amenities. The staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are very clean, with comfy beds, very quiet, real air conditioning, walk in showers, lots of planes to plug in electronics. Delicious breakfast. And elevator. And, it's in the perfect location with a metro station 1 minute away, and you can easily walk to many places in Paris from there. There are tons of shops, restaurants, and cafes all very close by. A true gem!
I had high hopes for this hotel, given all the great reviews I read before making the reservation. It did not live up to the high review rate. There were many good things: it was clean, the staff were friendly, it was quiet, and many good options for eating within walking distance. However, if you are someone who does not like tight spaces, this hotel is not for you. I had read the elevator was extremely small, and that is no exaggeration. Only 2 people can fit comfortably. My husband and I are not large people, and we fit fine, but if anyone else had joined us, it would've been uncomfortably close. We chose to only take the elevator to go up, as we were on the 4th floor and after walking through Paris in a heat wave, did not want to walk four flights up. We took the stairs to go down each morning. The room was very small and ours was dark, so it felt even smaller. The bathroom was nice, updated, and roomy, except for the toilet area which was tucked into a recess in the wall. The halls are also extremely narrow, so you have to walk single file, and allow people to go into doorways one at a time. The color scheme of the hotel is a dark aqua with painted beams. It felt a little like a 1970s horror movie vibe (I was waiting for Vincent Price to show up). Breakfast was adequate (scrambled eggs, cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruit), but there was no variation from day to day, except the breakfast meat. The AC was struggling to keep up, definitely not working to the typical American hotel standard. I do not think this was the hotel's fault. With the extreme heat we had while there, it seemed like most places with AC were not cooling that well. If you are even slightly claustrophobic, I would not recommend this hotel. I do realize that many Paris boutique hotels are like this, but wanted to give a realistic review for those who struggle with small quarters. My husband is not bothered by small spaces typically, but he too felt this hotel was uncomfortably small.
We stayed here during the Paris heatwave and were thankful we had booked this hotel. The AC worked well and our room was very comfortable, cool and quiet. The location is also excellent, as is the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
Nothing!

Service & Lage
Wenn ich mit meiner Frau nach Paris käme, wäre das zummen evtl etwas zu klein.
We have stayed here many times. We love the location and the staff is very friendly. It’s an older hotel so a bit worn but very comfortable and pleasant.
In past years the hotel would have water and snacks in the lobby after breakfast. They stopped doing that a couple of years ago and we miss a nice glass of water before going to our rooms.
The location was excellent, feeling safe was our priority and we didn’t doubt about it while walking everywhere through neighborhood. Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms are clean. Definitely was a delightful stay and would come again :) (but will ask for a larger room next)
Size of room
Have stayed here many times. Great service. Small but very charming rooms, with beautiful bathrooms. Great location near metro, in an adorable (one of my favorite) neighborhoods. Delicious breakfast included. Will always be back!
