Hayward Hotel

During booking it all look well enough, looked clean and tidy.
The experience of it was the complete opposite.
The shower had mould in the shower tray and leaked, there was a leak in the ceiling of the main room that had previous (and obviously) been covered with a board which did nothing to hide or stop the leak.
We had been provided with a kettle and some teas/coffee/sugar/milk. Could not bring myself to use any of it. The kettle was disgusting and obviously had not (if ever) been cleaned and the little packets were all out of date sitting in a grimy container.
We had also been promised a ground floor room as my elderly mother struggles with stairs and walking unaided. She ended up on the second floor. One of the bannisters had come away from the wall and had anyone put any pressure on it, it would have broke away completely.
The room smelled awful and a whole can of airfreshner did nothing to help and I'm not entirely convinced the sheets on the beds were clean.
All in all a terrible stay, keep far far away.
Cheap prices mean you get what you paid for.

Greeted by a drunk man who couldn’t find our key at first

The bed were dirty drown the floor wasn't clean we got a double a private bathroom and should of had 2 beds we spoke to the guy he said we are fully booked which wasn't true then he told us to leave and speak to booking.com but we have no way home till the Sunday morning so we had to put up with it
This hotel needs looking into as it doesn't meet hotel standards

Window broken so wudnt close so at bedtime all u cud hear is drunk crowds screaming at each other if window fixed possibly wudnt be so loud

The beds Were clean and the rooms weren’t as good as say not a bar like said not any. Think in rooms like said

It wasn’t like the photos advertised. Bathroom was full of grime. Toilet next to our room was full of disgusting stuff in the toilet. The fire alarm in our room was covered by a plastic bag safety hazard! Brown stains on the beds, brown headboard stains, I was scared to take my shoes off. The door didn’t stay locked could be opened from outside. The bar advertised was no longer running which it didn’t say on the website didn’t look anything like the photos covered in paperwork and takeaway boxes. I was concerned because the person who checked us in said 104 was one of the “nicer” rooms I’m worried to what the other rooms were like if this one we got was the “nicer” room. Smelt like cigarette smoke as soon as we got into our room too. Felt very unsafe. Checked in and checked out 10 minutes later.

Was given our key by some bloke who was drunk!! Not a great start, should have turned around and left then. We had room 16 up in the roof. The toilet was dirty and the shower had someone's hair in it!! The bed was so uncomfortable and had one thin pillow each.

Got to the hotel to be greeted by a gentlemen gave me the keys I want up to the room to find we had a twin room when I booked a double went downstairs and the guy said “yeah we have your room to someone else” said they would sort it the next day they never bothered place is an absolute dump look at the photos we left it was so gross even had bleached towels they refused a refund

NOTHING EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT

My only issue is more mmy own fault for the illuminations and stuff, and seeing the sights on the front was a bit of a walk for my children,

The room had water leaking on one of the beds,we ordered 3 single beds and we got a double and 1 single which we couldn't use as it was soaked from the water leak,I was offered a new room with a double bed and my two friends shared the double bed in the room with the leak,so I would not go back there,the pictures of the room I wanted looked nice with three single beds and very clean and they confirmed that I could have that,so I was very disappointed with our stay never to go back,the premises wasn't very clean or hygienic
