Great 10 night stay
Pros:

Breakfast in the morning was good. The coffee early in the morning was great. My TV quit working and they replaced it within 2 hours which was awesome.

Great place to stay, don’t hesitate, book it.
Pros:

We had some plane issues in Belize City that delayed our arrival, but the Blue Tang staff kept in close communication with us the entire time- which we very much appreciated. Because of our delayed plane, we had to stay a night in Belize City and lost a night that we paid for at Blue Tang. While the hotel couldn’t refund us (and we weren’t expecting them to), they did give us 50% off a snorkeling excursion to Hol Chan. We couldn’t have been more appreciative to Blue Tang trying to make our trip a little extra special after the initial bumps in the road. We absolutely loved our room, the spaciousness, the view, the decor and color, and the most comfy bed! Huge props to Daisy, who had breakfast ready every morning for the guests. Because I’m gluten free, she remembered all week and either made me something for my dietary restriction, or saved me food I could eat. The location was perfect, great proximity to town, and we truly loved our hotel. They also provide free bottled water that we used to fill our water bottles with every day.

Nice place in San Pedro
Pros:

Close to nice restaurants and bars, good breakfast, friendly staff

Cons:

I had the „king‘s suite“ which is right next to reception. Windows allow views into the room from the entrance area and the pool. I would not recommend this room for further bookings. Moreover, construction work on the pool started at 7 am.

A comfortable stay, but not worth the price
Pros:

The daily breakfast was great, with a different hot option each day the four days I was there. There was fresh fruit each day. The view of the ocean was great from the top floor and rooftop deck, but the oceanfront had a small sea wall so it wasn't a place you could swim, which was disappointing (there was a spot to get in the water, but the sea wall meant the Sargassum and sea trash accumulated and created a slimy area. The gardener has done a lovely job with lush vegetation around the pool and breakfast area. I wish they did something with those areas in the afternoon! It was nice to be near the Palapa Bar - there was music every day from 6-9pm that we heard, but it wasn't excessive and cut out on time.

Cons:

I visited during high season, and it was overpriced for the experience. They added nearly $30 a day for a "resort fee" which was excessive (the pool is very small, only a couple of beach chairs on a non-private beach with people constantly walking by, kayak rentals cost extra, etc.). The office closes early at 6, so if you need something after that it is a hassle. Multiple times I just did minor plumbing repairs myself - cleaning slimy stuff out of the clogged sink faucet aerator and showerhead (both of which were clogged when we arrived, btw), because we needed to use these things and not wait until morning for the handyman to come. The staff were usually very helpful and kind, although when I asked for two extra pillows and some blankets for the futon bed they were very pushy over WhatsApp about trying to figure out if we brought additional guests (we had not). The wood furniture was creaky and not recommended for light sleepers.

Started off good with nice staff. I should've known it would go south when I heard a lady complaining about her room

Shower didn't work and didn't realize this til late in the evening after dinner. I had to ask security to help me fix it since the office closes at 5pm. No one replied to my What's App messages. He said he fixed it, but then it didn't work again. No water was coming out. Finally he got it to work. He said it was weird that happened.
Then, in the morning the sink faucet didn't work. This was at 5am, getting ready to leave. Luckily, we had bottled water that we used to wash our faces and brush our teeth. I didn't even try to get it fixed coz that would take too long. We had to leave for an early flight.
Then the cab they arranged for us came 30 minutes late. There was no way for security to know who to call. No info was left for them. The security guard was nice enough to try and get a can for us by walking down the street. When a can finally came, I guess it's the one the Inn arranged, it was a raggedy van. No handle to open the door. The guy had other passengers already and picked up another one on the way. The charge was still the same. Strange. I had no time to argue and just paid. Won't stay here again! Paid $380 US Dollars, waste of money.

Pros:

Great location on the water, central but not noisy. The staff were wonderful- very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The breakfast was only ok. Not much variety and the hot water wasn’t hot enough to brew tea in the morning.

If you want to stay right in town for a few days, the Blue Tang is an excellent choice!
Pros:

The Blue Tang was in a great location on the water at the heart of San Pedro. Walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants and lots of parking for our rented golf cart. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a good vibe to it. Air conditioning and fans kept the room cool. Every one of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Breakfast was included, but there was only one option each day and it was usually a bit basic.
