Nothing
False advertising. Glossy pictures on the website hide the run-down, old, tired furnishings and outside area and pool. "Beachfront" means it faces dirty sand and murky water, not the nice white sand and blue water in photos. Sargassum seaweed smell was horrific and permeated room. Hotel did nothing to ameliorate smell and refused to give a refund when we said we could not stay there due to run down facilities and overwhelming smell.
DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
Simpatia dos funcionários.
Café da manhã sem variedade, deixando muito a desejar.
I enjoyed the breakfast each morning, eating outside with the beautiful views.
I wish the water had been hotter in the shower.
Cozy, clean and quite. Close to diving shops and restaurants. Stuff very friendly and helpful.
The pillows could be better
Great location, lovely staff, clean.
Breakfast was good. Location was fine, close to restaurants and stores. Our room was fine, I wasn’t happy with the location, it was right next to the office. So anyone could see into our room as they walked by, we had to have our curtains closed the entire stay. We did have a little kitchen was nice. It was nice to drink my coffee on the beach lounge chairs.
The staff at the front desk weren’t the most hospitable or welcoming. No one asked if we needed dinner recommendations or things to do. I borrowed beach towels, and when I returned them or exchanged them for new ones, I felt like the staff didn’t trust I wasn’t taking towels home with me. We went to San Ignacio before staying at this hotel, and our experience in San Ignacio was very different, and so this experience with staff was disappointing. Not the hotels fault but the beach had seaweed everywhere. Nothing at this hotel exceeded my expectations, everything was just “okay”. Pretty middle of the road, not terrible but not great.
Location and staff were great.
The Blue Tang is a great hotel if you are looking for a hotel with a great location in San Pedro. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the rooms were extremely clean. Highly recommend.
The property is located in the central part of San Pedro. Staff is excellent. Prices very reasonable . We had people from 7 yrs to 75 yrs - all had a great time.
Bonito y buena ubicación .
Todo limpio y el personal atento
No del alojamiento en si Pero arrendar taxi o carrito golf en el hotel sale bastante más caro.
-all the plants and trees.
-Roof top patio.
-the balcony.
-breakfast and Staff
-nice big room.
-The lighting outside at night
We had some plane issues in Belize City that delayed our arrival, but the Blue Tang staff kept in close communication with us the entire time- which we very much appreciated. Because of our delayed plane, we had to stay a night in Belize City and lost a night that we paid for at Blue Tang. While the hotel couldn’t refund us (and we weren’t expecting them to), they did give us 50% off a snorkeling excursion to Hol Chan. We couldn’t have been more appreciative to Blue Tang trying to make our trip a little extra special after the initial bumps in the road. We absolutely loved our room, the spaciousness, the view, the decor and color, and the most comfy bed! Huge props to Daisy, who had breakfast ready every morning for the guests. Because I’m gluten free, she remembered all week and either made me something for my dietary restriction, or saved me food I could eat. The location was perfect, great proximity to town, and we truly loved our hotel. They also provide free bottled water that we used to fill our water bottles with every day.
Breakfast in the morning was good. The coffee early in the morning was great. My TV quit working and they replaced it within 2 hours which was awesome.
nothing
Location
Good location
Big suite overlooking the sea
Other than the manager, the staff were hopeless in trying to organise any trips/ cabs etc. nothing got done!
Close to nice restaurants and bars, good breakfast, friendly staff
I had the „king‘s suite“ which is right next to reception. Windows allow views into the room from the entrance area and the pool. I would not recommend this room for further bookings. Moreover, construction work on the pool started at 7 am.
The daily breakfast was great, with a different hot option each day the four days I was there. There was fresh fruit each day. The view of the ocean was great from the top floor and rooftop deck, but the oceanfront had a small sea wall so it wasn't a place you could swim, which was disappointing (there was a spot to get in the water, but the sea wall meant the Sargassum and sea trash accumulated and created a slimy area. The gardener has done a lovely job with lush vegetation around the pool and breakfast area. I wish they did something with those areas in the afternoon! It was nice to be near the Palapa Bar - there was music every day from 6-9pm that we heard, but it wasn't excessive and cut out on time.
I visited during high season, and it was overpriced for the experience. They added nearly $30 a day for a "resort fee" which was excessive (the pool is very small, only a couple of beach chairs on a non-private beach with people constantly walking by, kayak rentals cost extra, etc.). The office closes early at 6, so if you need something after that it is a hassle. Multiple times I just did minor plumbing repairs myself - cleaning slimy stuff out of the clogged sink faucet aerator and showerhead (both of which were clogged when we arrived, btw), because we needed to use these things and not wait until morning for the handyman to come. The staff were usually very helpful and kind, although when I asked for two extra pillows and some blankets for the futon bed they were very pushy over WhatsApp about trying to figure out if we brought additional guests (we had not). The wood furniture was creaky and not recommended for light sleepers.
