Es war alles zufriedenstellend!
Pros:

Wir hatten ein schönes Erker-Zimmer, Frühstück war - bis auf den frisch gepressten Orangensaft und Sekt - mäßig. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, gegenüber liegt das Meer.

Cons:

Man muss erst mal die Treppe runter gehen, um zu der "versteckten" Rezeption zu kommen.

The reception staff and one bar staff person were not properly trained for their jobs. One receptionist in particular was rude, aggressive and unhelpful. A woman in reception shouted at us twice "this is not a 5 star hotel" totally unacceptable behaviour.

Die Lage direkt an der Uferstraße (wenig befahren) und zwischen den beiden fast 1000 m hohen Felsmassiven ist genial und das leckere Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse auch

A wonderful location in Valle Gran Rey
Pros:

Hotel Gran Rey is in a wonderful location: looking out over the sea, with sunset views. It is also perfectly placed (centrally) in Valle Gran Rey.
Breakfast on the terrace is a great experience.
The staff at the hotel are all excellent and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard.
The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of hot water.

Das Hotel liegt perfekt zum dass gesamte Valle Gran Rey zu Fuß zu erreichen. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze vor dem Haus also ist auch die Anreise komfortabel.
Wir hatten ein Eckzimmer mit Blick zur Seite, das sehr geräumig war, eher eine Suite. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und alles sehr sauber. Der Pool auf dem Dach war perfekt für uns, da während unseres Aufenthaltes das Meer eher rau war und wir so trotzdem Baden konnten.
Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren freundlich und zuvorkommend, so war es beispielsweise überhaupt kein Problem, uns die Fährtickets auszudrucken, die der Anbieter in Papierform vorgelegt haben wollte.

Cons:

Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Möbel haben Schrammen, eine Sofa -Seite war locker, das Bad mit flacher Durchbadewanne ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Uns war allerdings Lage und Komfort wichtiger als Design und Ästhetik.
Das viel gelobte Frühstücksbuffet hat etwas enttäuscht: durchschnittliche Auswahl, kein lokale Produkte, Eierschalen im Rührei... Es war OK, aber in anderen Bewertungen wird es unseres Erachtens viel zu hoch gelobt.

Pros:

Har bott här många gånger. Det är ett jättebra hotell. Frukosten är utmärkt, liksom poolen på taket. Åker tillbaka nästa år om inget oförutsett sker. Bra utgångspunkt för vandringar.

Goed, maar nachtrust kon veel beter.
Pros:

Goed ontbijt, mooie ligging.

Cons:

Het avondbuffet was ondermaats! Het was zeker geen 20€ p.p. waard! De nachtrust werd steeds verstoord door lawaaierige generatoren. Gebruik van oordopjes was noodzakelijk.
