The Georgian Town House Hotel

Great location and the room had everything needed.

Room was spacious, bed comfy, good blinds and curtains so not too light. Windows OK for traffic noise. Very easy to get in and host very accommodating of our request to drop luggage off early.

Disappointing stay – definitely not “deluxe”

My mum and I recently stayed here and booked two deluxe double rooms. Unfortunately, they were far from what I would consider deluxe, and the hotel itself is in desperate need of some love and attention.

Both rooms felt very tired and dated. There were numerous maintenance issues, including broken door locks, light switch sockets hanging off the wall, and in my mum’s room the curtains were broken so they couldn’t even be closed properly. The furniture was old, with stained chairs, and the bathrooms looked worn, with dirty, stained grout that made them feel unclean despite appearing to have been cleaned.

Breakfast was another disappointment. Finding the breakfast room was confusing as it’s located in the basement, and there was nobody around to direct us. We genuinely thought we’d gone the wrong way and ended up wandering into the laundry room before a member of staff eventually appeared. We were then told she’d just been out shopping for the breakfast ingredients.

The breakfast itself was very poor. The “bacon” looked more like slices of warmed ham, and the overall quality was well below what we’d expect from a hotel charging for deluxe accommodation.

The staff we encountered were pleasant enough, but unfortunately that couldn’t make up for the overall condition of the hotel. With some significant investment and refurbishment, it could have potential, but in its current state I don’t feel the rooms or the hotel justify being described as “deluxe.”

Sadly, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Room was clean, bed was very comfortable.
Unless I missed it, would benefit from a fan as the room is in the eaves and very hot ( though stayed during exceptionally hot time of year).
Had to call to gain access but not an issue as the lady I spoke to was very helpful.
A little further out of the city centre up a very steep hill but was good value for the money I paid.

Great location

Room was spacious spotless, self check in worked fine. Excellent location on a relatively quiet street in the heart of Liverpool.

Bed was comfortable and provided coffee and tea facilities

Ann was amazing very helpful and very friendly also really knowledgeable about the area and pointed us in the direction of a lovely pub.
