Comfort Suites Hartville-North Canton

My son and I were at this hotel as we were in the area for a sporting event. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately there was a major problem. The room we got was a pet friendly room (we did not have a pet with us), and it smelled like old urine in the room. I don't know if it was from the couch or carpet, but the smell was so terrible that I didn't want to spend time in the room. We had the room booked for 2 nights, so on the second day I spoke with the manager and told him what was going on. He offered a one bedroom room because that is all they had left. Unfortunately, they would not work for my teenage son and me. He did apologize, but no discount was given for the 350 dollars we spent on a room for 2 nights that we tried to avoid.

Thank you for making thing easy from start to finish. From online reserving to making a quick change with a phone call. Things were easy.

I reserved AND prepaid for a specific disability room with a roll in shower as I can't walk. Checking in we were told it wasn't available, no real explanation and ended up with a standard room with a shower, no seat, that I can't use. Hotel wasn't busy and no compensation was offered although I asked for it. Very unhelpful front desk. Will never stay there again.

When I rate a chain hotel with a 4, I normally mean that it's meeting the chain's usual standards. In this case it's a little different. Overall, I found this location just about worthy of a 5, Staff was superb, suite was excellent, all of the little nice touches I appreciate.

So what pulls it back down? Whoever designed the bathroom has fallen for the idea that a half-glass shower enclosure is so chic. To their credit, the hotel provided a non-slip shower mat that one might put on the floor outside the shower, but all in all, if the shower does not have a complete enclosure, the soapy water splashes out onto the floor and creates a hazard--one that caused me to fall and injure my knee in another hotel. So I skipped showering.

The front desk noted that they offer a shower cutrain--no note about that in the room where it might have informed me before I was checking out.

I feel unhappy about letting one detail knock down a rating, but hoteliers everywhere need to take note: if your designer thinks a half-enclosed shower is fashionable, fire and get a competent one.

I have stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions and when I need a room, this is the only hotel I will now book at. The hotel and rooms are so very clean and the bed was so comfy. The staff is amazing, very friendly, nice and accommodating and very polite. Housekeeping and the ladies that set-up and provide breakfast are just as wonderful. I truly cannot say enough good things about the hotel and the staff.

The room was spacious and spotless. Everything seemed like brand new. The staff was helpful and friendly, even when we arrived very late. The breakfast was good and feature a broad selection. Bed had just the right amount of firmness and the room was very quiet. . We couldn't have asked for a nicer experience. The Hartville Family Restaurant next door was a real treat to boot.

A quiet place with all the amenities you need. Very nice staff. I will stay there again in the future.

Relaxing atmosphere that has all the amenities and close to important shops and restaurants. This is the second stay and would come again. I could not find the hotel on Google but had to book through third party at much higher price.

The staff, the hotel room, and the breakfast and amenities we’re all decent and well kept. I have an issue with the $45 per night pet fee, which is exorbitant. Especially for a dog like ours who makes no mess and causes no maintenance or housekeeping Extra work.

They always meet or exceed our expectations during our stay. Very clean and the staff is exceptional.

Joseph was so cheerful and friendly. He made it easy to ask questions and helped us with everything we needed.

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of different times. You will be greeted by super friendly staff at check in and they make themselves available for any needs. Clean, quiet rooms. Hot breakfast is truly hot with a variety of items! We will stay again!

We make an annual trip back to Ohio each year during the fall to visit Family, Friends and especially our Daughter's grave site. We like this location, Surprise Surprise, right next to the Hartville Kitchen and Hartville Hardware. We are very familiar with the Uniontown/Hartville area because that is where we lived before moving to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This Hotel is top notch and fulfills all our needs.

This hotel is very clean with comfy rooms. The staff is the best, always going out of their way to help. Best staff and hotel we've stayed in!
