Rydges Australia Square

The location was great - the room was fresh and tidy
While most aspects of the stay were great - the downers were mainly things that couldn’t be changed
There was no onsite parking, the room was quite small and unfortunately for some reason there was no room service available for breakfast when scanning the in room dining QR
It was a pleasant stay though

Nice hotel. Great spot

We really enjoy staying here and have done in the past. The weekly loud party in Australia Square below is an annoyance though, and this time we asked for a room on the other side of the building. The alleyway outside the hotel entrance leading to the steps up to George Street was in a disgusting dirty state for the 2 weeks we stayed there though, and was only cleaned up the day we left.

Great place for the stay in the CBD.

Our room was available at 10am! After an overnight flight from LA, that was a huge plus and greatly appreciated.

Small but nice modern room

We couldn't rate Rydges more highly. We needed a wheelchair accessible room with two beds and the staff were so accommodating. They problem solved and came up with the perfect solution whilst being friendly, respectful and helpful.
We went on to enjoy a wonderful five nights right in the heart of Sydney . Everything was easy walking distance or public transport with restaurants a plenty.
The breakfast at Rydges was excellent too.

Good stay, I had an issue with the door reader battery being dead. The front office team helped as fast as they could.

Close to train station and the light rail. Easy walk down to Circular Quay.

Location was perfect for work during my stay. There was a smell of mould from the bathroom which was ok when the door was closed. There was a lot of construction around the area while I was there.

Great location and clean room. However no real customer service. Phone wasn’t working, told them but it was never replaced. Asked for pen and paper as nothing in room, it never came. When checking out didn’t even ask how our stay was. Robots.

Thank you for a great stay

We had an excellent experience for 3 nights at Rydges Australian Square. We were given early check-in after enduring 3 flights (17 hours) and very long travel from home. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the bed was truly comfortable, and though small, the room was quiet, well-appointed and very clean, and the included breakfast was lavish. The downtown location was perfect: within easy walking distance to many of Sydney's best attractions (Royal Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery, Opera House, Circular Quay, Darling Harbor, Sydney Harbor Bridge, The Rocks, several museums, good restaurants, and public transportation). A great time, overall.

We arrived around 8:30 AM after 20 class hours flight from the United States. At checking in the staff was very helpful and surprisingly allowed us to check in right away. We are so appreciated the service and the considerations this hotel offers to their gas. Highly recommended.

The hotel was very clean although the rooms were pretty small. It was very centrally located with easy access to travel. Their staff members were very cooperative and help full.

I can highly recommend this property for business travelers or short stay travelers visiting Sydney.

Service was perfect, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything that I needed.

The rooms are well appointed with all needed items including iron and ironing board (many hotels you have to ask for it and wait 2 hours for someone to bring one).

The only upgrade that the rooms need is 'universal' plug sockets but since I forgot my travel adapter, the front desk loaned me one.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I happen to be in Sydney.

Convenient location and clean.

Room was small however comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good - not abundant in options however adequate choice.
