Riding Fool Accommodation

Sadly it was not quiet when I stayed here. The hostel was full and many people trickled in on. A Friday night between 10pm- 12am. Lots of loud talking in front of the rooms and talking down the hallways to others who in the common room. Noisy people in the common room.
I wouldn’t recommend Room#1 - it’s right beside the common rooms and kitchen and you hat everything. Beds are on the harder sister.
Based on other accommodations in the area, not sure the cost justified the experience. Cleanliness was excellent and its a cute place - just not great for a single person I guess.

Wonderfully organised and very clean.

This was a fantastic place to stay in Cumberland. Right in the centre of the village, easily walkable to everything. Great common room and kitchen.

Riding Fool Hostel never disappoints. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. Rooms and washrooms are clean and well stocked.

The only issue we had, given the warm seasonal temperatures, was that the rooms were uncomfortably hot at night. Fans were available however, they were not quite enough to keep the air flowing.

Maybe an unreasonable suggestion but a vent at bottom of door and top of door frame would likely assist in drawing in the air-conditioned air from the common areas.

Otherwise, amazing stay as usual. See you next year!

Funky. Interesting. The staff were terrific.

Great for our overnight stay, lady at reception was very helpful, facilities excellent.

The property was clean. Very unique place. The staff was very trusting which was very nice, thank you so much for your hospitality.

Very clean and well-kept, also comfortable and cozy. The perfect break!

We enjoy.d the old building which is clean and comfortable. However, we had a double bed up against the wall which made it difficult to get up in the night. We would like to book a queen bed if that is possible as my husband is a big man, another time. Thanks Althea

It is definitely worthy to go there and spend time over. We wish to have an opportunity to stay longer ☺️
