Clean, comfortable and convenient with lovely staff, but the extremely restrictive parking significantly affected an oth
Pros:

The room was clean, comfortable and perfectly serviceable for my one-night stay. The location was convenient, with supermarkets and other amenities within easy walking distance, and the staff were lovely and very helpful. When I had difficulty with the hotel car park, they did their best to help and ultimately found me alternative parking in an adjacent car park, which I really appreciated.

Cons:

The parking was by far the biggest issue for me and significantly affected my overall score. I specifically booked the hotel because it advertised on-site parking, but the entrance and parking spaces are extremely tight. I drive a Mini and still found manoeuvring in the car park so difficult and stressful that I seriously considered abandoning the stay and booking somewhere else. Other guests appeared to be experiencing similar difficulties, so this certainly wasn’t simply down to the size of my car or my driving. To their credit, the staff were very helpful and eventually found me alternative parking in an adjacent car park. I would strongly recommend that guests arriving by car contact the hotel beforehand to discuss parking arrangements.

value for money
Pros:

Great staff. The cooked breakfast was very good, excellent quality. Nice and quiet for a town centre Inn.

Cons:

Small rooms, no Air con.... but this is a histroic old Inn, so understandable that a few things are quirky. If you are on the east wing, then road outside can be a little noisy especially if you have the window open due to heat. The continental breakfast (apart from the cooked) had very few choices for bread or pastries (actually, no choice i should say, sliced bread and nothing more)

Great breakfast
Pros:

Breakfast was lovely.
The bed was very comfortable.
The room was very clean, however the sidetable just needed a once over because there was a little dust on the back of the table.

Cons:

The wifi password should be contained in the welcome pack, rather than on a Poster wall near reception. We didnt know until the next morning when we spotted the q code and sign.

Pros:

Helpful, efficient friendly staff and comfortable room in this historic coaching inn. Very good dinner and breakfast. Good location with parking close to town centre.

Cons:

A grab handle in the bath/shower would be very useful for people with mobility issues.

Lovely place to stay just requires a little more of a considerate room clean.
Pros:

Staff were amazing as always, good evening meal, private of road parking

Cons:

Rowdy group of 10 or more men, perhaps the staff may have dealt with this better as it was incredibly noisy whilst trying to eat and nearly got violent a couple of times, The room, the 4 poster bed had cobwebs all over it, the bathroom had hairs all over the floor and the storage closet was damp and we couldn't put clothes in there as it was smelly, maybe a drain issue from above. The complimentary tea and coffee was on offer but there was tea stains around the cups and we had to wash them before using them.
