Amazing!
Pros:

Welcoming, clean, amazing staff. We stayed here a few years ago when we attended a wedding nearby so, when we were invited to a wedding at the same venue, we didn’t hesitate to book at the Red Lion again.

Pros:

Really friendly and helpful. Very accommodating.
Extremely good stay.

Cons:

If I wanted to be picky maybe the fact that there was no table service for orders, but going to the bar to order was no big hardship.

Pros:

We needed an overnight stay to break up a long journey, and Atherstone seemed like a reasonable place to stop. We weren't expecting anything special, but we were delighted that we picked the Red Lion, which proved to be an excellent choice.
A shout out to the staff who were friendly, helpful and a credit to the establishment.
Front of house staff organised some food just as the kitchen was closing and breakfast in the morning was first class. Cheerful service again, too.
The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a very handy electric fan - a godsend given the heat.
The girl on duty in the morning was really helpful in solving a problem with exiting the car park, as we were hemmed in! Many thanks to her.
Atherstone is an interesting place with a few things to see and a good sense of history. We enjoyed a walk along the canal after dinner.
One last tip, fill up with petrol in the town, massive savings on prices a few miles out!

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike. The people in the local shops were very pleasant.

lovely stay in a lovely historic hotel
Pros:

The staff were helpful and friendly .The hotel was an old coaching inn full of history and interest in the middle of the town . we came for just one night and a tribute act . which was good and the food was fantastic and tasty . the room was well looked after and clean . the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of tea making stuff in the room . a real pleasure to stay in.

Cons:

we didn`t stay long enough to enjoy the breakfast and to look around all the different rooms of interest downstairs . probably stay a little longer next time
