Location was great.
Parking was vague.
Beautiful space and great location
Nothing it was great
The location was great, across from a park in the Hudson with a fantastic view. We were able to walk easily to the businesses we wanted to visit. The decor was lovely, artistic and comfortable. The balcony was a wonderful bonus space to enjoy the excellent weather. The concierge was so sweet and helpful.
There is not much soundproofing, which was fine for us most of the time but a noisy neighbor came in later one night and luckily quieted down by midnight. However, you can hear foot traffic in the stairwell or hall. A rug on the stairs and hall would help with the sound.

DELIGHTFUL. The dinner at the restaurant next door was delicious, the town of Hudson is so adorable I want to move there. The river views are amazing. The flat had everything we needed and more - and beautifully appointed, felt like a home away from home. Kids slept well and so did we!! Will be back :)
Nothing!
The location and uniqeness
This is a very nice place to stay in Hudson. We had a suite which was lovely- only problem was the bathroom was only accessible through the main bedroom which would have been tricky had we stayed more than one night. Also the living room could use some shades as it gets very bright in the morning.
But overall we liked staying there and would stay again.
Bathroom tricky to access for our daughter sleeping in the loft
This is a hotel of "almost nailed it". The price was high, but not totally out of sync with others in the area. The location was good in a nice quiet neighborhood, but there is no parking. You have to park on the street and remember to park on the side coinciding with "tomorrow's" date. While the hotel can't control parking laws, not having dedicated parking is a miss. The hotel is spread across buildings which is quirky and cool, but the walls are paper-thin (even the outside walls). Additionally, there are no keys/cards. It's a code that can be easily seen by others. We stayed in the Pint room, which is a 3 room suite with a bedroom, living room, and kitchen (plus a bathroom). The full suite was very clean and well-maintained with thoughtful adds. The bedroom with a king bed only fit the bed, 2 small nightstands and 1 chair - no storage in the room. There wasn't even a place to put a suitcase in the bedroom. However, the bed was so comfortable! That said, the bed in the living room was weird, but at least it gave us somewhere to put our luggage. The couch, which was an oversized leather sectional, was colossally uncomfortable and impractical. The restaurant servers were polite and knowledgeable, but the bartender was rude. The food was good but way over-priced for what it was. (There are much better restaurants within easy walking distance.) The water pressure in the shower was "warm gentle rain", but the towels were amazing. Bottom-line, this could be a world class place to stay if they can get a little more practical and less "trendy" with what they offer.
I had a huge emergency, and the kind, charming team at Wm Farmer and Sons set me up in a fantastic, perfect room for the night. My "room" was really a loft with one big bed for guests and my huge dining room, living room, bedroom, and awesome bathroom. I even had a washer/dryer!
Sadly, our Hudson home was flooded due to a rare storm, and I get very sick in heat so I prayed for a miracle - and this kind spot saved me.
I highly recommend the pristine, gorgeous, and very walkable inn)(1 minute to the main street of Hudson, and it's across the street from on Hudson River, and a 3 min. walk to Amtrak!).
Thank you Wm Farmer and Sons
We chose the Farmers for a one night stay due to a recommendation in Conde Nast. On the surface it’s a cool rustic pubby place but with an expensive room rate that does not quite meet expectations. The room itself was up two flights of steep stairs and no storage space to speak of, and the bathroom similar and having to climb into an old fashioned standalone bath for a shower. The bathroom needs to be modernised. The towel racks were also too high to reach. The dinner menu was somewhat limited and the waitress made it very clear that the dishes came as is with no modifications and they do not provide a proper breakfast service. The staff were ok but not overly helpful. Certainly some investment and a better focus on service would greatly improve things, given the room rate attached to the stay.
Wm Farmer and Sons was so charming and comfortable! I loved my room. It had every amenity you could think of. The bed was big and comfortable, the bathroom was lovely. It was well priced. I would definitely stay again!
What a perfect place to stay, to eat, to chat with friends, to walk the neighborhood, and more! Within short walks are: a park overlooking the Hudson River, other cute restaurants and stores, and a charming streetscape of vintage townhouses. The Chandler Room was beautiful (spacious with a big bay window) and comfortable. Tip for showering in the gorgeous bathtub: throw a hand towel down to prevent slipping. Even the lotions and potions they provide are first rate. 6 stars! I didn’t really pay attention to how much we spent here which tells me that it was worth whatever it cost. (Normally I track costs carefully). I encourage you to make Wm. Farmer your home away from home. Don’t miss the restaurant, too!
The location is perfect, everything in working distance. The room was perfect furnished and well prepared.
Beautiful, clean, comfortable, centrally located
The nearby train was loud
I loved my stay here and only wish I could have stayed longer. The historic buildings that make up the property have been carefully restored and thoughtfully appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities in the room were all excellent quality.
I loved the quaintness and their restaurant right next door. The room and bedding was so comfortable and loved that they had magazines/books and a radio in the room with a little fireplace.
The slippers provided in the room looked over worn
