Hotel Shocard Broadway, Times Square

Las alfombras del cuarto rotas y no tiene ventana con vista a ningun lado.

Bathroom was extremely cold - not healthy. Coldest days in NY in years .

Camere vecchie, un pò mal tenute e doccia che non si regolava correttamente. Ci hanno dovuto spostare a causa di un odore forte di cibo proveniente dalle cappe sottostanti all’hotel.

The reception area doesn't feel safe. It is shared with the adjecent pub and on Monday night there was a group of people (probably Doordash/Grubhub riders) inside eating McDonalds and they didn't seem guests of the Hotel nor clients of the pub.

We picked the location because we had a couple of events to attend nearby but I would not recommend to stay anywhere near Times Square. It is not safe.

The room we were assigned to(209) was on the first floor directly above the pub so the room smelled like food (probably coming from the kitchen downstairs) and at times it felt like they were playing music in our room for how loud it was.

The room featured a tilted window on the ceiling but we couldn't figure out how to open it and a frosted glass window probably looking directly into a brick wall (but this too couldn't be opened).

The guy at the reception (morning shift on Sunday) wasn't very helpful.

We are still waiting to get the deposit back even though the staff told us we would get it the day after check-out.

No window in the room and it wasn’t even mentioned in the booking process. Not super clean too. The shower temperature was random and went from hot to cold every minute.

The room is really noisy. The windows are thin and we could hear the A/C of the building in front of our room.

Nulla, tutto perfetto! Forse la camera è un pó troppo piccola e se avete delle grandi valigie potreste stare un po stretti, ma se vivete la camera solo per dormire la notte allora un sacrificio si può anche fare. Tanti si lamentano dei rumori della città ma vorrei capire cosa pretendono da un hotel sito al centro di una piazza che non dorme mai come Times Square. Comunque, sarà che eravamo stanchissimi, ma noi non abbiamo sentito alcun rumore.

While we did not have the best experience, the hotel staff was willing to help make things right. In doing so, they made sure to increase their customer response time and ensure the highest quality of customer service coming out of this situation.

My request for an early check-in could have been handled better: I got an automated reply that I would be charged a fee or an additional night if I checked in early, then I was told it would be OK, which I had to clarify meant that a room might be available early but I would still get charged. Considering I was looking for shelter because I was trapped in the big winter storm, I think the management should have just waived those kinds of fees, which felt like I was still being nickel-and-dimed.

Smelled like cat litter the whole time , the whole “cleaning every other day” from the staff is actually nasty

Room was a little small so no chair present to sit in.
