Great service and really nice pool

A truly special boutique hotel in Siem Reap

We stay in all kinds of hotels, including many high-end international chains, and almost never take the time to write reviews. In this case, however, we are genuinely happy to do so because it is absolutely deserved.

Viroth Hotel is a truly special place. The architecture is amazing, and the rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly cosy. Every detail feels carefully thought through.

While the term “boutique hotel” is often overused these days, here it is entirely justified. The design of the hotel, the restaurant, and the pool area is really unique, blending 70s chic with Khmer design elements in a way that feels both stylish and authentic.

The pool area in particular is wonderful. Relaxing there feels like being in an oasis of calm and peace, while still being right in central Siem Reap.

We had lunch and dinner at the hotel several times during our stay. Normally, we prefer to eat outside as much as possible to enjoy the local atmosphere, but here we simply could not resist making the most of such a beautiful setting.

Finally, the staff were incredible throughout, from the airport pickup all the way to checkout. Warm, professional, and consistently attentive.

Everything, it was perfect.

The staff were fantastic

Breakfast was delicious. Pool was clean and relaxing. Room was comfortable and quiet and spacious. Staff was able to arrange three days or private tours and they were spectacular. Guide and drivers were wonderful. Loved that they applied insect repellent when we left hotel. Spa service was the best throughout SE Asia. The Khamer massage was recommended and did not disappoint. It was really the best.

The hotel and staff are amazing. Staff attention was impeccable, great massage in the Spa, food was great. The hotel is a work of art - in both the design / furniture, and the skill of the management & staff. A Swiss hotel school could send students to Viroth's to see how it's done!

Viroth’s Hotel is a true gem in Siem Reap. From the moment you arrive, the service is simply exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely personal without ever feeling intrusive. The team is professional, efficient, and always ready to assist with a smile.

The design of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The mid-century modern aesthetic, lush greenery, and calm atmosphere create a stylish yet relaxing retreat. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and extremely comfortable, with great attention to detail. Everything feels curated and harmonious.

The location is perfect — quiet enough to feel peaceful, yet within easy walking distance of the river, markets, and central areas.

Breakfast deserves special mention: excellent quality and a great selection. A wonderful way to start the day.

Viroth’s hotel is really excellent. There are so many positive things to say about this hotel. It’s not too big which enables the staff to provide a really personal service. As soon as we walked in each day they had our key ready without us having to tell them our room number. The staff were very attentive and looked after us brilliantly. We ate dinner at the hotel twice, both times the food and wine were excellent. The breakfast was also delicious with a number of menu choices and a buffet.
Our room was very spacious and stylish. All the communal areas of the hotel were very tasteful, and there was a small shop over the road where you could purchase some of the soft furnishings.
The pictures really don’t do the hotel justice. It was certainly the best hotel on our trip around Vietnam and Cambodia.

Easy walking to area plus tranquil and relaxing

El Hotel Viroth es, sin duda, la elección perfecta en Siem Reap. Su ubicación es excelente y, al mismo tiempo, ofrece un ambiente tranquilo y relajante. El diseño del hotel es precioso: una decoración elegante, sencilla y muy cuidada, con abundante vegetación colgante que crea una atmósfera única.

Las habitaciones son muy amplias y extremadamente cómodas, ideales para un descanso perfecto. Mención especial merecen los colchones, de una calidad excepcional.

La zona de desayuno y el restaurante son igualmente encantadores, con una amplia oferta de productos de alta calidad. De hecho, decidimos cenar ambos días en el hotel, ya que la calidad de los platos nos pareció sobresaliente.

Un capítulo aparte merecen los masajes: los mejores que hemos disfrutado en todo nuestro viaje por Asia. Las instalaciones son impecables y el personal, altamente profesional.

Por último, queremos destacar la amabilidad, simpatía y constante disposición del personal para hacer la estancia aún más agradable. En especial, Sokha, quien nos brindó una atención excepcional desde el primer momento de nuestra llegada.

En resumen, una experiencia de 10. Sin duda, repetiríamos una y mil veces.
