Pros:

By looking at this hotel it is pretty nice especially for the price. It isn't until you stay at the hotel is when you see the problems. I turned on the AC and it was extremely dusty. Anyone who came in my room their nose would start being irritated and start sneezing. My hot water didn't work. It took the maintenance guy two times to come back to finally make the hot water work but it was barely warm hot. I had to leave the water on for 7-10 minutes for the water to get warm hot so I could take a shower. The second room didn't have any wifi connection, had the same hot water and dust problem. When I asked to be switched it took them two days before I could be switched to an equivalent room and that was only for one room! The new room's tv wasn't working properly and when the maintenance guy came he couldn't figure out why it didn't work. The free breakfast was so horrible that I just ate outside. I am not expecting the best breakfast buffet but at least something that taste decent. If you want to try some authentic South American food then Chef Max is the MAN!! The other only benefit was it was close to T. Nagar shopping area. Unfortunately, there were many more things that went wrong but I won't put all here. I stayed at 5 hotels in 25 days and this was by far the only one that my allergies were horrible. Even when walking outside in the India's pollution didn't affect me as bad as the rooms in this hotel. This tells you about how well they maintained this 1 yr old hotel.

A good choice
Pros:

For me personally this hotel is much more upmarket than I would usually stay. I had the advantage of sharing a twin room with my old mate which halved the cost of the room. First impressions were unimpressive as neither of us got a great vibe from the manager on duty. He was okay but only okay. The room really was nice, spotless, comfortable and a good size. There were only soap, shampoo and moisturizer which was a little mean, we had received conditioner, tooth brushes and a shaving kit in much less expensive hotels. The internet worked well when it worked but was intermittent. Cable TV was okay without being mind blowing. Our plane was leaving the next day at 10.30 pm so we asked for a late checkout, this was denied. We were given until 1pm but we were able to leave our bags at the hotel. In the morning there was another manager, Mr Aravind who was on duty. He had a much more friendly demeanor and seemed to have more authority than the guy the day before. We left the hotel around 1pm and returned about 6.30pm. When we returned Mr Aravind rang us a taxi and to my utmost surprise asked if we would like a shower before we set off on our long journey home. We gratefully accepted and I must say this really was above the call of duty. Most appreciated and really turned the stay from okay to really impressive. Thanks again Mr Aravind.
