Good costume service, poor air conditioning, excelente clean all area, safety
Great spot for the value. Right on the beach with restaurants everywhere around you.
Room was clean, but it was more like a motel than anything else
Location was great, right at the beach and in the middle of many bars and restaurants.
The property could use a little work. It’s right on the beach and is very nice. The outside restaurant and bar are nothing really. We just cooked in our apartment. There are local markets to get fresh food. There are local restaurants as well. It served the purpose but is not fancy.
This property is right on the beautiful beach of Juan Dolio. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and very big with a beautiful view of the beach. The hotel has a beach bar/restaurant right outside on the beach that makes delicious drinks. It is shaded in palm trees and the view is incredible. There are delicious restaurants walking distance. It was a wonderful stay.
Great location, the property is right on the beach. Make sure to book an ocean facing room. The rooms were very clean though appliances are dated. The bathroom was very clean but the taps and very old and don't work so well. There is cleaning service everyday which excellent. Staff are courteous but don't expect them to go the extra mile. There is restaurant and bar right on the beach - good drinks, food is average! All in all it was a pleasant stay.
The place is not fancy, but the price is right. The location is excellent. It is right on the water. You walk downstairs, through the restaurant and you are on the beach. You are in the center of Playa Juan Dolio and there are 4 good restaurants within 50 yards. It costs about $40 each way from the airport and is about 20 minutes away.
Perfect location. Very helpful front desk. Very nice beach. Really good price.
Parking is limited and extremely small
No elevator
Uncoftarble stairs
No emergency exit
Rooms don't really looks
Had a balcony facing the sea.. great view and beaches .. is an older hotel but the view is worth it
The balcony view of the beach was very nice and being on the beach was wonderful. However, the room was not cleaned everyday, the bathroom was uncomfortable, and the room at roaches.
This was a pleasant surprise in my domincian trip. The area was quite if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Santo domingo. And only a few miles from the SDQ airport.
The hotel was better than expected, nice, clean, helpful staff, but the restaurant is a rip off. I had the most expensive bowl of chicken soup of my life! 400 peso/over $11 CAD. The beer was also more expensive with 20 pesos when the same waitress served it. That Gina shamelessly ripping off customers. Right next door is a restaurant-- chicken soup 200 pesos, and about 3 minutes walk(left from the light) there is a small restaurant with homemade tasty, yummy food for 200 pesos including a bottle of carbonated water, just amazing!
Expedia should not list this hotel as they told us they do not honor Expedia reservations at all. I made a reservation back in November for Feb 25-27 and printed out everything from Expedia. I showed the information to the receptionist and he said they do not have the reservation and do not honor reservations from Expedia because they cannot see them in their system.
Luckily there was another place about 200 meters away on the beach (apartment style) that had availability for $40/night so we ended up saving some money and still stayed on the beach.
Everything in the room needs updating. Broken TV and locks, water leaks. Restaurants on the same street. Nice beach.
The room is OK, nothing special.
The bathroom is horrible. Looks old, dirty and it is very small, looks like a airplane bath with a shower.
You probably will think twice before take a shower there.
Caribe Paraiso does NOT get paid through HOTELS.COM. During our stay, no one ever mentioned this to us (we arrived at 4am on April 17 and left at 2:30am on April 19, 2016 - the reception is closed during these hours). Instead, they called us today (after arriving home) and ACCUSED us of skipping out on the payment and taking the room key. We left the room key on the kitchen table on top of a 200 peso tip for the cleaning lady - as we were told to do by the person at the reception area - who never mentioned that we had to pay our bill!!!
I am going to Western Union now to pay the bill right away (as should be done), but instead of phoning their customers and accusing them of any wrong-doing, they should look to improve their reception and hotel management practices (or just leave a notification under the room door next time).
I ENJOYED VERY GOOD, GOOD AND CLEAN
I paid ~66 per night. We had a kitchenette and my Sanky Panky cooked, finding what he needed to put together a delicious meal.
The room was marginally comfortable. I had an uneasy feeling in using the dinghy towels and they provided only tiny soap in the bathroom. The pillows were flat, the sheets paper thin. The WiFi was ok but not reliable if you need it for business.
The staff was accommodating within the parameters they are working within.
Overall I got what I paid for. It is great if you don't want to pay for all inclusive and you are willing to find you own eating accommodations. There were a few places to eat, though I tried only a couple for coffee or a sandwich. Not enough to opine.
