Amazing views from the room out to the ocean. Room was lovely and modern with beautiful decor. Bike hire available and staff very helpful even though there was a little bit of a language barrier. Overall very happy with our stay will definitely be back.
This place has some good features, which I'll come onto. Apparently the new owner has only had the place 3 months. He changed the name to At Tanote (formerly Tanote Good View) but has failed to tell anyone that fact. I emailed before arriving asking how to get to the property from the ferry pier, but got no response. Arriving at the pier, no-one had heard of the place and no taxi knew where to take us. We found a phone number and phoned several times but there was no answer. We got a cab in the hope that we might find it. Telling the driver it was called At Tanote caused great confusion because the bay is called Ao Tanote. After repeating the name 100 times, we gave up. We pulled into Good View to ask directions. The caretaker and the receptionist had never heard of At Tanote. But then the owner appeared and told us we were in the right place. It's not good if even the staff don't know! Ridiculous. This site also says that breakfast is available, but it was not. Despite having a bar full of drink, we were told it was not operational. The room itself was perfectly adequate and comfortable with great views over the bay. There's a roof-top bar terrace amongst the rocks that is a stunning place to sit, but they don't capitalise on it. We had to take our own drinks. The property is only a short distance from the bay and beach, dive centre etc but it is STEEP! I'd recommend getting scooters to anyone who wants to stay. I'd say more but I'm out of space! Needs improvement!
High up on the hill, the view of hotel room is fantastic, on the Tanote bay. Snorkeling in the bay was quite surprising. However, you need strong legs to climb up from the bay to the hotel. The breakfast is great. The price (200 baht) is really reasonable. As the hotel is located in a isolated place, there is neither supermarket nor ATM. Just a few restaurants on the beach. it’s better to rent a scooter. We are satisfied with the services, but the English-speaking staff could be available more frequently at the reception.
