Great location close to Universal Studios and Hollywood walk of fame. Rooms were clean and spacious.
Very noisy, windows do nothing to block road noise, aircon units are on the floor so can hear a constant humming from rooms above. I prepaid for the room and was charged again on arrival. No one told us they were charging us the full room rate just asked us for a card to put on file which we assumed was for incidentals. Queried this with the reception staff and provided proof that we had paid and they insisted we needed to sort it with booking.com. Upon speaking with booking.com they said the money is there and the hotel need to request it. This was verified by a hotel manager who apologised an hour before we checked out for their error after us chasing for 2 nights. Last 2 days of our holiday in the US and had £650 frozen in our account, not ideal!
On the morning of check out we thought breakfast ended at 9:30, not 9. Admittedly our error but no one informed us of the breakfast times at check in so we looked online and google incorrectly told us 9:30. Whilst I appreciate this is our error I think it is disgusting that the hotel wouldn’t even offer our 3 young children (4, 6 and 8 years old) even a piece of fruit. When we explained to the reception staff that we got the time wrong and that we were travelling back to the UK today (10 hour flight) and what could we do with breakfast for the children (didn’t even want anything for ourselves just the kids) the lady SHRUGGED and said there’s nothing she can do breakfast is closed. I have never been to any hospitality venue that has refused young children some food for the sake of 10 minutes, I understand no hot food but fruit and cereal was just sitting there on the other side of the door.
Very disappointed overall with our experience which is a shame as the room itself was lovely and the hotel is clean and in a great location. The manager who we finally spoke to who sorted the billing error and apologised for the mistake was lovely, but the rest of the reception staff were unhelpful and left us to sort everything.
Location is perfect, 10min walk to the mall and restaurants and Walgreens!

Good location, good parking facilities
The breakfast was chaos, not enough seats so we had to grab food and eat in our room.
We had a quick one-night stay at the property and were impressed by the quality and room size for the price. The rooms at the Springhill Suites are about 30% larger than those at other Marriott properties in the area. Tangela at the front desk was really amazing with our four-year-old twins. She took the time to personally greet each of our children and make them smile. She went out of her way to make our stay special! Awesome job with the front desk!
The hotel is nice but my room had bed bugs! I was there for a conference with colleagues so I could not easily leave to find another hotel, so I was moved to another room. I *think* it was bug free, however the experience with the first room ruined the stay. Who can sleep comfortably after that?
