Accra Royal Castle Apartments & Suites

The staff were very helpful, no management about to answer questions, the room we booked was no longer available; we paid for a twin room (2 single beds), the one given to us was extremely dirty. We had wipes and did alot of cleaning of the surfaces in the room. There was only 1 hanger in the wardrobe. Also on the first night there was no water and a powercut, they were both back on by the morning, but there was no hot water. No instructions how to lower the air conditioning.
On a positive note the location is a good one for the area and the staff went out of there way to help with us with additional towels, and wifi set up.

I rented a suite. The suite was not available, so instead I was given a seperate room for a minor child. I was not very comfortable with that. I brought food to cook in the kitchenette for us all, but no kitchenette, so that food went to waste, and instead I had to buy dinner for 4. I also had to rent an additional room for my driver. Instead of a single suite for 3 adults and a child I had 3 rooms. One was complimentary, but I had to pay extra for the 3rd room. It was an inconvenience and cost me more.

The room looked like it has not been used for a while. The fridge was dirty we had to use antibacterial wipe to clean inside. There were no towels and no soap, when I asked I was told all the towels have been washed.The bathroom was not clean, towel holder was broken. There was no water on second day

The property looked nice in the pictures and it was very misleading to what i saw at the hotel, the cup when they offered us drinks had mould we didnt get to eat at the hotel the rooms the bathroom was dirty we told them to clean it, the bedsheets were dirty the internet was non existent when in the room we had to come out of the room to actually get internet, we changed rooms and the internet was still not working. The pool was dirty the only time it was clean when the manager was having his party i wasted money on this hotel i would never stay here again at all they need to take down the pictures as its very misleading. I should of paid what i thought the stay was worth like on the programme four in the bed. Their hospitality was wack, they had works going on in the hotel and nothing was getting sorted leaks coming in from the rain into our room, they had a generator and they never put it on when the rain was falling and the lights cutting out. The back up generator was not working either the people there were nice but i would never stay here again i give it 1 star out of 5. Please do not stay at this hotel i booked for 2 weeks but ending my stay to check out in 3 days because of the way the hotel was running.

It is day two only and the bedakes me deel like I was hit by a bus. Lying on a stack of hay may feel a little better. I may be checking out early if I cannot het a better room of comfort.

This hotel is GARBAGE, the pictures posted don't reflect the facility at all. The pool is dirty, there are holes in the ceiling upstairs, the drain in our shower was slow as hell, AC didn't work, wifi was a joke, bed hard as a rock, COMPLETE SCAM! Even the property manager told me the pictures on Expedia were old and they need to do renovations. I asked for a refund after only staying 1 night in this filth and was told no, completely unfair so I will be filing a lawsuit. Please don't waste your time or money booking here!

The staff was very nice, and the view was perfect. The my group stayed in the suite. The shower/bathtub was weird and set up unusual. We had an issue where when bathing we would get electrocuted a little but we told the staff about the issue. They had an electrician look at it, but it stayed the same. Breakfast was simple but good. Restaurant was overpriced and took a long time. Walls were dirty, room dusty, but overall an ok hotel. Around 40 minutes to the nearest airport. Make sure you're aware that the water in the room is not free. The put 24 bottles in our room and we used half of them, but wanted us to pay for all 24, which is 48 cedis. Needs some work but pretty ok.

The décor in my room was nice for me. Many may not like it. I loved the balcony too. The hotel needs work doing it. However rest assured that if you need anything fixing the staff are very supportive and on hand to meet your needs. Things are changing for the better so don't rule it out.

The only unique thing is the hotel was bad so disappointed that I paid that amount I couldn’t even sleep 😡

Nothing like the pictures. No way it should be a 4-star hotel, not even 3. Old is one thing, but cleanliness should be a minimum. We booked 2 rooms, the sheets were not changed, the pillows stunk of BO. My room smelled so bad probably because of the moldy fridge. There was no soap in the bathroom. We checked in and tried to get some work done, but couldn't charge our phones nor use the WIFI because there was no power and they didn't want to turn on the generators until 5 pm for some reason. We left our luggage there went for dinner and found another hotel and left, couldn't spend the night there. I contacted Hotels.com, they said the owner didn't want to refund any of the 2 nights stay (although we didn't see any other occupants, the rooms on our floor were wide open and empty), we just used the room to keep our luggage there for a few hours (not over night), so the least they could've done is refunded 1 night. Hotels.com gave me $100 credit which doesn't cover 1 night, which was disappointing. The people working there were very nice though.

A good cheaper hotel with basic facilities and lovely staff. A colourful area but long way (mostly due to traffic) from anywhere.

Brilliant stay as always. The hotel is made by the amazing people who will look after you, always the best place to rest after a journey and the food is great too. Thank you!

I was very disappointed. The hotel looked like a dead place with no activity. It took hours for food to be prepared. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience.

Bin enttäuscht , bin dort nicht eingezogen , hatte um ein besseres Zimmer gebeten , war nicht möglich , obwohl das Hotel nicht voll beleget war

A long way from the city centre and airport and traffic is heavy so bear this in mind if wanting to be able to be mobile (taxis the next option).
Staff friendly on the whole.lots of silly extra charges ‘extra milk’ being my favourite, for breakfast etc. but did at least change my dates after a delayed flight from Lisbon (of three days).
Basic, reasonably-priced and jazz-themed. Nice to have a pool and bar.
One memeber if staff, Patrick, was outstanding and went beyond the call of duty.

I have been there several times always a wonderful stay. I have no problem recomending
