Pros:

The private pnsen booking was a nice suprise.

Cons:

The beds (double) were just 2 singles pushed together. Nothing holding them together, causing them to move appart in the he night. Uncomfortable.

10/10 would recommend.
Pros:

Wow! The hospitality from the staff at Hotel Haus St Anton was amazing. My friend and I were checking out early, so we weren’t going to be able to have their breakfast. When we went to check out the staff made us breakfast and coffee to go!

Rooms were warm cozy and clean. No private bathroom, but the toliets were clean and the hot springs bath is private and feels so good after a day of skiing (you just need to reserve it day of). Conveniently located right down the hill from skiing. They can get you a ski lift ticket, slightly cheaper than buying it at the ski center. Pretty awesome location and experience, highly recommend.

Very good
Pros:

the staff all spoke english quite well.
discount for ski rentals for guests, and the hotel also shared a good deal on lift tickets. close proximity to slopes and all guests can store their equipment slopeside.

Cons:

I did not like the lack of variety for breakfast. we had a toddler with us but the treatment every day was slightly different? first day he got a juice, second day no juice, third day he got a mini-sized main. really odd.

Incredibly cozy, homely, and well located hotel with amazing staff and built-in ski rental to boot!
Pros:

This was the comfiest and coziest hotel with impeccable staff and a great location. The ski rental shop at the gondola base is run by them too, so you don't even have to carry your skis from your hotel to the slopes! the perfect combo. A quick 5-10 minute walk up to the base, then put on all your gear and you're going in no time, the perfect way to do it.

The staff were incredible - very kind, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, I'd recommend staying here for them alone! The rooms are warm, and all the guests we met were kind and relaxed. The breakfast is a great way to start the day, my partner and I are not breakfast people and we loved it. The dinner is also absolutely something you have to try! A fantastic 2-3 hour multi-course experience with mostly Japanese and some European dishes, all impeccably presented. I definitely recommend pitching in for the risotto, but I won't spoil the surprise.

The private onsen is downstairs and can be booked out for a block of time. A fantastic way to relax after a day of skiing, with piping hot water pumped straight from the town hot springs. The rooms are warm and comfy, and the location of the hotel is great - right in the center of town, and it's only a short walk from the bus stop.

We initially booked this hotel as it was one of the few ones remaining for our dates. We though we got higher rates due to late bookings and had intended to stay in a ryokan (also recommended), but this was worth every cent. Blown away, we would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

The beds are slightly small and I whacked my head on the bathroom door a few times. I, however, am 194cm and not the brightest, and this is Japan, so spaces not set up for tall people are to be expected. The bathroom was slightly dated, but entirely fine and the water pressure was great.

Exceptional
Pros:

Excellent. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this property and it has made me think about booking another holiday again to the same destination. Very central with easy access to communal Onsens and restaurants. The Hotel itself has a private Onsen. The staff provided excellent guidance and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable helping with discounted snow gear rental (30%) and coffees from their attached coffee shop.

Cons:

Sharing a communal toilet wasn't ideal but it was always clean very close to the room. The queen bed was two king singles pushed together. Access to Yu Road which takes you up to the Gondolas is a moderate walk.

Great Choice
Pros:

Overall the accomodation, food and service was exceptional. The only think that was average was the onsen in the hotel. Otherwise no complains. Will stay here again if back in the area.

The place to stay at Nozawaonsen
Pros:

The owners go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. On my first night, I was struggling finding a place for dinner. The owner went out in the rain to take me to a restaurant and ensure I will be well taken care of. They speak English and French. The breakfast is delicious. Also, they offer a discount for rental and ski lift tickets. I will go back in a heartbeat!

A perfect place to stay in a great ski town!
Pros:

We had a wonderful vacation in Nozawa Onsen, at staying at St. Anton definitely contributed to that! Everyone there are so pleasant and generous and helpful and genuinely kind. The location is right in the middle of town as well as an easy walk to the slopes. We had breakfast every morning at the inn and it was delicious. We would 100% recommend staying at St. Anton and would like to say “Thank You So Much” one more time to everyone there!
