İts very perfect the hotel. Hotels personel is very frindly. Also room is very clear. Hotels restaraunt of wiev is very beautiful. And hotel is near to metro station.hotel location is in the center of istanbul. You should go to this hotel.
The most awful experience you can have in Istanbul. Very dirty, smelly rooms. The bed is too small, the bedsheets are stained. The bathroom is very filthy and the towels are stained. I really don’t know how I made such a terrible mistake. It is certainly a minus 10 star hotel. Simply: DO NOT GO.
How on earth is this hotel a 4 star hotel?
The rooms were very dirty, like the didnt even bother cleaning it and the breakfast was also horrible. The only good thing about this hotel is the location because its near the metro, tramway and the bazaar
first of all it is 1 star hotel not 4,
bad reception, terrible service, dirty rooms and sheets. it not somewhere people could stay there even for one night. it is the bad expercience i have ever had in a hotel. Don't even try to think to stay in this hotel even for hours.
My biggest question is how this place earned 4 star???
Even bigger question, how can we name a place Hotel when they can’t give their guests a glass or knife or and extra towel or slippers.
Which 4 star hotel reception can’t understand English?
Worst reception ever…rude, bad behavior all the time, even the reception use racist slurs in Turkish and thought i can’t understand it.WoW…unbelievable…
Dirty pillows
Dirty Rooms
No minibar
No room service
No safe box
Just one positive thing point…it’s near metro station and this fact really helped to scape from hotel easier. But don’t forget to not come back late…after 12pm all neighborhood look too scary and dangerous…
Worst hotel ever. It should be advertised as 0-star, it is nowhere near 4-star quality. Filthy beyond words (there was a mouse in my room!!). Total opposite of service-minded staff.
STAY CLEAR, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
Fint for en enkelt nat eller 2 Pris ok
Personale meget venlig og hjælper gerne ;)
Very bad!
Rooms are cleaned daily and the pillows are extremely dirty and full of hair
The staff are very rude...they say they don’t speak English not Arabic even though they perfectly do.
Only one blanket is available for you...so if your cold...stay cold!
Only one key to the room is available
The elevator takes half an hour to reach your floor.
But the very worst part about this hotel that it is not on a street..the cars can’t reach the front door... you need to walk at least 10 minutes from the door to reach a paved street..so if your thinking of going with bags...don’t!!!!
this is one of the worst hotels i've ever been to, the rooms were not cleaned on daily basis, the beds weren't made and i'm pretty sure the toilet wasn't cleaned during our 9 nights stay. The staff members were so rude, they don't even respond to a good morning. The food was mediocre compared to 3 stars hotels in Istanbul. I will never come back to this place.
the room was clean but the place was very very bad .the breakfast was very very very simple .i never visit this hotel again.around this hotel was very dirty and not safe. the room has not safe box.i think this hoetl is one star.
I stayed there about one weak. place is close to public transportation : aksray tram and ynicapi metro. the breakfast is amazing because it is on the roof. but we eat the same thing every day. there is wifi and rooms is clean. but they should work to isolate sound between rooms. the staff try to help all the time. all of them try to help always.
I stayed in Matiat hotel for 4 nights, it was my first time visit to Istanbul.
My room had tiny window over-viewing to a what appeared to be a closed shaft.
No oxygen or sunshine would come in.
We had a 5 cm gap between our room and the neighbor, we could hear them breath :P
The bathroom was dirty and smelled bad.
Only the breakfast roof view was nice(not the actual buffet).
Metro stations (Yenkipai and Marmaray) were 2 min away.
I stayed in Matiat hotel for about a week and it wasn't my first visit to Istanbul. Here I summarize the main features :
1- some staff members were not as helpful and friendly as other hotels I had been to ( if u need a sort of not included service don't pay it with a big bill cause some of them might not be willing to return the change 🤑). but I should mention that the service is good and the ladies who clean the rooms are quite trustworthy and nice 2- breakfast was very fun and enjoyable as we were allowed to feed the cute seagulls and enjoy the view 😍 ( Best thing about this Hotel then don't miss it 😉 ) 3- electric kettle in the room was so useful 5- wifi didn't work when I was there and I used the expensive data service from my country
6-breakfast buffet included :
cheese ( 3 types . 2 of them too salty), sausage ( didn't try this one), eggs , tomato , cucumber , 2 types of olive ( the darker ones too salty) , simple cake👍, 2 types of cornflakes👍 , tea , coffee and coffee based drinks👍 , hot chocolate👍 , factory made margarine and jams that weren't delicious and a sort of sherbet ( not very delicious as well). 7-neibourhood isn't as bad as other said and it is quite near to other hotels such as grand Unal and Marmaray (2 minutes walk) .Transportation is soooo easy😊 . 8- rooms are just like the photos but the view really depends on the floor you are in. The TV sets are put in a wooden box attached to the wall that we happened to smash our heads to multiple times as the space between wall and beds was quite narrow (It becomes really dangerous at nights ) . It is also noteworthy that the shower room might be too small for you if you weigh more than 100 kilograms .
To conclude I think we had a good time there 👍
Zimmerjunge fordert unverzüglich Trinkgeld
Falsches Zimmer
Boden des Zimmers dreckig
Nachts laut Musik
breakfast os only name but in fact there is no food to eat only bread f u are lucky
no even drink
the breakfast is awful, there is nothing to eat.... we stayed 7 nights there and board of fixed breakfast .... the hotel located at the end of the main street in fact in a very different neighborhood (not good) but its so close to the metro station..... rooms are not so tidy but they are large enough in size.....i think there are so many hotels to stay near that location
I wanna say thank you to all of them who can make our holidays wornderfull. There is a nice place, good equpments and good facilities. Every morning you can see smile face of hotel staff and this point influent to you too.
Thanks again, I hope wiil back again here!!!

The hotel looks great but during my stay they had maintenance issues because the water was coming out from the shower to the toilet area and the room was smoky more than a week. Wi Fi was on and off and there were no wired Internet and their beds were full beds not queen or king beds. The description on hotels.com and the reality on the ground were not same. I don't recommend for anyone unless they fix the problems but I believe all those issues are easily solvable.
I like Matiat. It really deserves more than what you pay.
