The property was too old and the room are so dirty a lots of ants and mosquito bite my legs and arms. And the bathroom was leaking water and the drainers doesn’t work well. Only the best things the location.
Hope the property owner will improve the bathrooms
Location
It’s ok for the price
Renovation when customers are here
They were renovating even when customers are resting need to shut the hotel and renovate
It's OK not too bad .
This hotel neeed to upgrade everything is old and dirty customers service very dru the room has visible sound at night scare my family no one sleeps that night I complain to customer service they did not care I feel bad to stay at this Hotel
Do not look the same from the Picture !!!
No maintenance that it need to be done !!!
Terrible, inadequate lighting, poor fresh air circulation. Bad, bad, extremely bad!
It is ok for the price I paid...! The water flows were so weak in the shower and there is no hot water available in the washing sink due to the way it was built per the maintenance person.
The room is nice, room cleaning service every day, kinda noisy with single pane windows, you can hear honking motorbikes Into the early morning and there is a hospital very close by with emergency siren vehicles driving by very often all night long. Some of the front desk people speak a little English, some none at all. We arrived at 9:30am and was pleasantly surprised that they let us check in. Lots of eating places around but not much else’s to do within walking distance, we did walk to the 1000 Buddha temple that was around 2 or 3 km. Kind of strange, they have parked cars in the lobby and motorbikes drive right through to get to a parking lot.
Only gripe was a room service experience, we called down and a man answered, tried to order and he said “don’t speak English” so I went to the front desk and pointed on the menu to what I wanted, food came up and nothing was correct! Little to say that I was pretty upset but what can I do?
No one can speak english.BIG downfall. Plus more interested in serving Chinese instead of other paying guests
Friendly. Nice. Always stay here due to its location. Cheap and always quick to help when I need something. Taxi, laundry, room clean
This is an older hotel with very basic amenities. The bathroom has the shower/toilet combo where everything gets wet when you take a shower. Got single room for $15USD per person, though you can find it for $13 online. Does not have good dining options nearby. Only stayed here because friends were staying here, but I would stay elsewhere if I were to return to Saigon.
Decent value for what you get. You’d pay more if staying elsewhere for better lodging.
The outdated look and feel (think 1990s hotels in Asia) had us brace for the worse, however we turned out to be pleasantly surprised. Yes, the hotel room is basic and old-fashioned, but there is a lift, the room is clean (bathroom included), mattress is comfortable, and the street noise in room 207 & 208 was very faint - to us that was the most important. Staff speaks Vietnamese, Cantonese and some English too, and helped us in our queries. Wifi works well both in lobby and rooms. There does not seem to be a breakfast option, but standard food can be ordered in the room at reasonable prices (we didn't try). The hotel is within walking distance of Thien Hau temple and 10-15min walk from Binh Tay market (closed for renovations between Nov.16 and Nov 17, maybe longer) and St Xavier church. Whilst there are better hotels in other districts of HCMC, Trung Mai is a no-frills, reliable and convenient base to explore Cholon, definitely worth considering for that area!
Whilst there are better hotels in other parts of HCMC, Trung Mai is a decent place to stay, where staff speaks Cantonese and some English, besides Vietnamese. The room reminds me of 1990s hotels in Asia, basic and not modern, but clean, with decent bedding and quiet from street noise, which to us was the most important. Within walking distance of Thien Hau temple and 10-15min walk from Binh Tay market (closed for renovations between Nov.16 and Nov

Good acommadation for the price. Lots of stores in walking distance.
Very kind and helpful staff, basic room,on opposite side of town from major tourist attractions about 1 hour walk
Terrible and rude staff. Had a very terrible experience while checking in. The room is not very dirty however the bed is rather uncomfortable. There better hotel in the immediate area.
