Olema House is an absolutely stunning property, and it comes at a high price. The rooms are wonderfully decorated, they even have a fireplace (I think they are usable, didn't try), I had a room with a nook not balcony and it was a cozy place to rest. No microwave, just a fridge and the complimentary wine. From the reception you can get smores kits to enjoy in the back garden near the fire... maybe also walk down the creek or just sit in the swing for a moment. Bathroom very well stocked with towels and products. The parking lot is small, but sufficient for the number of room.
I really missed having a desk in the room, there was not a proper place to use my laptop.
Not a problem for me, but the property isn't accessible, there were stairs even in my room; elderly folks and people with mobility problems would have difficulties.
This is a beautiful facility at a beautiful location.
The staff was exceptional, the room was absolutely perfect. I love the shower and tub with the jets. The scenery is amazing and it was so nice to sit outside by the fire and toast marshmallows and make s'mores!
Nice
Location was great, room had a balcony which was nice.
We were charged an $800 deposit after being told we would be charged a $100 deposit. When we asked front desk staff about car rentals in the area we were told to "google it". The jacuzzi bath was broken in our room and the room had an odd design in that the toilet was in a separate room with no sink. Breakfast was a joke, there were individual yoghurts but no spoons, no herbal tea, coffee sucked etc. We ended up getting breakfast in Point Reyes each morning as the Market next door was not much better, they may have the same management as the Inn.
Tout
Un bémol pour le "pas de petit déjeuner", mais pas si grave finalement!
Pet friendly.
This is a nice, semi high-end hotel with clean rooms and a nice staff. However, there are a lot of stairs and steps throughout the hotel, including a couple of steps inside our room (#21). For those with mobility issues, this motel is probably not a good choice.
Everything was great except for the breakfast.
Great place. Historic. Wonderful staff.
It's such a beautiful place to unplug and reset. We only stayed one night and I wish we could have spent two days there simply because I didn't realize how much I wanted a place to just do nothing. We will be back.
I want to note the thoughtfulness of the ADA room. There are some limitations to the exterior property, such as the entry door not being able to accommodate wider mobility devices, and common areas were not very accessible at all. However, the interior had fairly wide pathways with easily movable furniture. Bathroom had an even threshold into the shower, which was large with multiple grab bars and fold down shower chair. Sink accommodates wheelchair users. Placement of ADA room was right next to the ramp from a singular handicap parking space large enough to easily fit a van with an wheelchair or scooter attachment.
Super cute and clean, fantastic venue in back of hotel.
Probably could use a little AC on really hot days.
The only reason not to rate excellent was the disappointing "light breakfast" and coffee offerings - a couple of breakfast bars, yogurt and cold coffee with creamers. It would be better not to mention breakfast. I would definitely stay again - gorgeous property with lovely staff.
Loved the backyard area with tons of seating, fire pit etc. spacious room with patio and seating. Comfy bed and clean rooms. Super close to Point Reyes and PRStation.
There was a tsunami watch after the earthquake in Russia. The hotel said they could not refund our money.
