We were put in a ground floor unit. It was very noise. From the car park, patrons in the garden area and even staff emptying bins etc.

Central location, food good, entertainment excellent. Staff very polite and friendly. Lovely hot water shower. Free parking.
Stayed there twice, this time because they were busy we were in the room with only a skylight. So very stuffy, would recommend you book early and request room at the front with a window. Disappointed that they no longer do breakfast.
Location - cheap and cheerful. Don't stay there is you want an early night - band played till late.
It was clean at least
No where on booking.com did it say there would be live music til all hours and the room is certainly not sound proof. If you are down in the pub (I did not realise this was accommodation above a pub) enjoying the entertainment it would be great. I however was hoping to get an early night after teaching yoga all day. It was so loud I left and the manager that evening was not very pleasant. It's not like I expected a refund, that was clear on the booking site. But waiting around for her (I handed the key back and wanted to leave but they asked me to wait and talk to the manager. 15 minutes I waited) to say what do you expect and I should have known was unnecessary especially after 9pm.

Stairs up to room and parking area
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The dinner with friends was enjoyable and good value for money. I didn't realise the hotel was located right in town but it was very convenient. We enjoyed our stay. This is not a flash venue but it provides very good value for money.
The stairs to our room were a bit ordinary but we had been advised we'd be booking an upstairs room.

Location was perfect for me
A noisy ceiling fan somewhere in the roof space above me woke me during the night.
Nice hot showers. Staff very courteous and helpful. Particularly when arriving, the woman made a point of showing me around in person which I really appreciated (and which was a nice contrast with another place we stayed at).
The stairs were a constant difficulty for us both because my friend has a disability and I am nearly 80.
