Pros:

Cheap and cheerful in Culcairn! Not too far from highway; this is a country pub with a hotel upstairs with shared bathrooms. In need of a facelift. So know what you're getting before booking - it suited our purposes for one night, and ate at restaurant downstairs.

Food and atmosphere good in bar area. Accommodation area very old and worn. Whole place in dire need of refurbishment.

No problems with check in. Room lacked power points and there was no switch close to the bed.

Carpets were old and a bit dirty.

The light breakfast was good.

Quick stop, overnight. Arrived at 2230 and staff were still there waiting. Easy, convenient check in. Friendly staff.

Excellent food and great value
Pros:

This place is an old school pub offered at a great price and so the condition was as expected. The staff were all great and the food downstairs was excellent. Overall, it's a great value place to stay while on the road.
