My daughter and I had a wonderful two night stay. The hotel was extremely clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff kind and helpful. The location was great as well and we walked to many places in the area which was nice since we didn’t have a car. Will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.
We booked online, and our expectations, based on the photos that we had seen, were met or exceeded. We arrived early, but got a room well before the official check-in time, and the well-equipped room looked just like the photos. The building is old, but well maintained. (We weren't expecting a heat wave in May, but we had no complaints about the air conditioning.) The staff is uniformly excellent. Front-desk personnel were always friendly and helpful, from check in to check out. (We'll name Dresden here specifically because we had a long chat with her on the day we checked out, but everyone we dealt with was terrific.) Even the maintenance workers and housekeepers were cheerful and friendly. Staff at breakfast and afternoon wine-and-cheese gatherings were unfailingly helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate, with make-your-own waffles, hard-boiled eggs, yogurts, cereals, the usual breads and bagels, juices, and good coffee. The location is great. Easy walk to Rittenhouse Square. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. And nearby SEPTA busses make getting anywhere easy.
We'll certainly plan to stay here again on our next trip to Philadelphia.
Great location. Relaxed atmosphere and nice vibe. I liked the art on the walls and in the room. I liked that you could open the windows.
The shower could have worked better.
Das Hotel könnte mal wieder ein wenig renoviert werden.
Great location and very clean.
Breakfast wasn’t great. Almost rather not have it and recommend local venues.
The location. Daily cleaning
The room is old and small. The air conditioning makes a lot of noise. The breakfast was miserable: the quality, the options, and the refrigeration of the products. The price is average in Philly but it’s not a 3-star and it’s not an 8 points as booking says.
Konum ve temizlik
9 metrekare oda.
A lady name DRESEN or Dresden ? very professional and very kind … make a difference
Thank you
Breakfast and wine at social time
Rooms were big
Place need some renovations
Excellent !!!!
Nothing. It was fabulous
The best part of this older hotel is its location and it was less expensive than the nearby hotels that I considered staying in. I appreciated the fact that breakfast was included, but the breakfast was pretty basic. The only non-carb items were plain yogurt and hard-boiled eggs.
So cute, colonial Philadelphia. I loved the feel. Best location. Close to Jefferson Hospital, South Street, city centre.
We had a very nice stay here. The building is vintage, but was very clean and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. You really felt like they were happy you were there. The view of the city was nice. I was surprised how quiet it was after 7 pm.
Flew in from Los Angeles, late, and check-in was quick. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting with the parking and providing suggestions for a restaurant open beyond 10 pm. My friend and I were happy with the accommodation because we had looked at the website and had realistic expectations. Our room was clean, we were not missing anything that we needed, noise levels were fine for us, and, had a good night sleep. Continental breakfast was good.
