When we arrived at the hotel, we found a used tissue and sand on the beds in our children’s room. This was clearly unacceptable and indicated that the room had not been properly cleaned and prepared before our arrival.

We immediately reported the problem to the hotel staff. We were told that a member of the housekeeping team would come to the room and take care of the issue while we went out for dinner. We trusted that this would be resolved during our absence.

However, when we returned from dinner, nothing had been done. The used tissue and sand were still on the beds, and the room remained in exactly the same condition.

We were then told that the housekeeping employee was no longer available. Instead of providing an appropriate solution, the hotel offered to give us bed sheets so that we could make the beds ourselves.

In all our years of travelling and staying in hotels, we have never experienced anything like this. Having to make our own beds because the hotel was unable or unwilling to provide basic housekeeping services is completely unacceptable, particularly when we had already reported the problem and had specifically been told that it would be resolved.

We were subsequently told that, given the circumstances, the hotel would refund the cost of the first night as compensation for the inconvenience and for having to resolve the problem ourselves.

In the end, we had to carry several kilos of sheets, blankets and bedding from one building to another ourselves, and then make the beds in our children’s room.

At check-out, we reminded the hotel staff of the promise to refund the first night. However, instead of refunding the night as we had been told, we were informed that we would receive only $50.

Considering everything that happened, we find this offer completely inadequate and, frankly, almost insulting. We paid for a properly cleaned and prepared hotel room with housekeeping service. Instead, we arrived to find a room that had not been properly cleane

La propiedad está muy sucia y las habitaciones tienen un olor muy feo. El manager no accedió siquiera a la opcion de cambiar de habitacion. Nos dijo literalmente que si no queríamos esa habitacion podiamos irnos.
