Paripas Patong Resort

Terrible hotel. The receptionist, named Whon, intimidated us by demanding payment for a pair of flip-flops that were never found, not even in my luggage, as we opened them at the hotel reception. A complete lack of respect. They called the police after informing us that we had to pay for a sandal that was never left in the room. Upon arrival, the police confirmed the receptionist's falsehood, but she was still extremely rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

At check-out today, November 7, 2025, at 8:00 AM, the receptionist named Uon (this is how she pronounced it) mentioned something about a missing slipper from our room. Because her English was very poor, I initially thought she was saying we had forgotten something in the room. To avoid any misunderstanding, I went back to the room with a staff member, who explained that they believed one of the room slippers was missing. There were supposed to be two in the wardrobe, and only one was there.

Neither my husband nor I had ever seen or used any slippers in the room. We arrived late at night because we missed the last boat to Phi Phi, so we barely used anything in the room. I even took a photo of the slipper to ask my husband if he had seen or accidentally packed it, and he confirmed he had no knowledge of it.

I returned to reception and explained clearly that we did not take anything, and that they were welcome to check our luggage. We had a taxi waiting to take us to the pier, so time was very tight. I opened all of our bags right there and asked her to look. She checked and found nothing. However, she then insisted on checking my siblings’ luggage, who were in another room, and said we would not be allowed to leave unless we paid 100 THB. This was completely unreasonable and humiliating.

We opened all the luggage again, and my husband recorded the situation because it was clearly absurd. Despite seeing that we did not have the slipper, she still forced us to pay, and in the end charged 106 THB instead of the 100 THB she had mentioned. She then called the police. When the police arrived and heard both sides, they quickly understood that her accusations had no basis and allowed us to leave.

This experience was extremely stressful, disrespectful, and unprofessional. We were embarrassed and effectively forced to pay for something we did not take. The staff member showed no discernment, no courtesy, and no willingness to listen. It felt like harassment and a form of extortion.

A truly disappointing and unacceptable way to treat guests.

Great stay! Staff were friendly, rooms clean, and the location is perfect—7-Eleven next door, Bangla Road nearby, plus tons of food stands and restaurants around. Airport shuttle was convenient, food was good, and the AC worked well. Only downside: no smart TV (so no Netflix). Overall, highly recommend!

Room is all you need, the bed is comfortable, shower great and price of room excellent. Close enough to be able to walk to beach or to restaurants/bars.

Property was located on amazing location. Staff was amazing too. All the places was very easy to access from there. If you are bit further, you won't be able to sleep with loud noises from all clubs. Hence it's very good property with easy access to everywhere.
