I think that the location, the room and the staff was amazing! Overall, I thought this was definitely one of the best hotel stays I've had.
I really wish that there were water bottles included in the room. Additionally, maybe face pads or q-tips in the room as well.
Très bel hôtel. Confortable. Très bien décoré, le hall est très beau.
Pas grand chose intéressant autour.
Perfect little hotel in Richmond. Very dog friendly. Great little cafe and lobby as well. Car valet was very handy as well.
Nothing comes to mind.
Lovely boutique hotel, perfect weekend splurge ! Personnel are so friendly and welcoming. Room well appointed. Awesome amenities: rooftop bar, lobby bar, restaurant.
Great location, really pretty lobby and decorating scheme.
Beds and sheets were extremely uncomfortable.
Exquisitely designed boutique hotel. The room's are well-maintained, the bar was active until 10:30 on a Monday. The front desk was attentive to my needs, but their valet Ricky was extremely engaged, making sure that my car was secured. Ricky took care of a small issue that I had to my complete satisfaction.
The hotel is quirky but it totally works. I love how spacious, clean, bright and cheerful the hotel is. Our room was the same - spacious, clean, cool (it was summertime) and quiet. We did hear a dog barking our first night but it didn't last long and nothing for the rest of our stay. Folks were quiet in the halls and we didn't hear the elevator. Just sitting and people watching in the lobby was lots of fun.
The hotel is in a shoddy part of Richmond with few places open after 5. . No coffeeshops or bookstores nearby.
The room is large but doesn't have a warm or inviting feel. It's a quirky PINK hotel but I'll not stay there again.
I cannot recommend staying at the Quirk Hotel Richmond in Richmond, VA.
My family stayed in four king rooms and one king suite for two nights.
On our arrival there was only one clerk at the front desk, and no one to open the entry door or help four 75-plus year olds with their luggage.
Four of the rooms has issues that made our stay unenjoyable.
*The shower in one room never provided enough water pressure to take a shower, and the little water that dribbled out was cold. No hot over our two-day stay
*Guests were unable to close blackout shades in two rooms.
*The faucet in one bathroom was missing the aerator. This shortened the faucet and caused water to spill onto the countertop instead of into the sink bowl.
*The sofa bed in the king suite was not made up for the children.
And finally, the guest services would not honor the confirmation price given for one of the king rooms.
This is a very aesthetic hotel that will make for a cute instagram post, but otherwise lacks the fundamentals of a comfortable stay and warm hospitality. A lot of small disappointments (uncomfortable beds, wrong room type, poor water pressure, difficulty with valet, cold staff) add up to me overall not recommending this stay. If it's in the right area for your trip, it's totally adequate. But it is not the 4-star quality it is advertised as. Maybe stop by for brunch and a walk through the gallery, but leave the restful stay to someone else.
Hotel was cute with friendly staff. We booked one night for our wedding. Unfortunately there were some loud screeching pipes that woke us up multiple times through the night.
The room was seemingly cleanish when I first arrived. Chewed bubble gum was found on the bathroom floor along with band aid wrapper. The head of the bed had chips between the wall and the bed. It was a disgusting feeling to know I slept in it. The terrace was scattered with over a dozen cigarettes. Would have love to enjoyed what I paid for but it smelled like wet cigarette butts. The alternative door key never worked so every time I needed to enter I had to get the front desk.
Jordan the bartender decided to not serve me a third drink because he overheard I was on medication. I can respect that decision but he laughed in my face with an out loud HA! As if he enjoyed denying it. This is after tipping your staff 20$ on one drink and 100$ on dinner all in all damn near 1000$ I spent at this establishment. Before he denied me a drink, I overheard him talking down about how dumb a customer was for not understanding that there was a regular menu in addition to the happy hour menu. He acted very put out to have to grab a menu for the older man and his daughter. Then made snide remarks about ANOTHER customer to the hostess. I got the distinct feeling that he’d rather be elsewhere.
In the morning I came down and asked Alex at the front desk if he could recommend a taxi service. He blankly stated that Quirk doesn’t do taxi service. I wasn’t asking for him to call one but to recommend one.
I’ve worked with the kimpton group in San Francisco as well as with the Cummings family at Snowbird. I was appalled with the attitude I was met with. Server was good, food runner and chef seemed great. Valet was kind as well. Maintenance was responsive and helpful with the terrace room main entry was stuck.
What started out to be pleasant turned into something that was quite disappointing.
Staff was very nice
Extremely dirty and loud. Nothing was comfortable. Mold in the bathroom. Very dirty. Bed was uncomfortable.
Had a wonderful night away from home here! What made it exceptional was the staff, in particular Ricky who made a point of looking out for us. We also loved the chocolate panna cotta - highly recommend!
I stayed at the Quirk Hotel in Richmond for one night and had a solid overall experience. Walking in, the soft pastel colors and signature pink accents immediately reminded me of a Wes Anderson film. The hotel has a unique personality without feeling overdone.
The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Richmond, making it easy to walk to a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and local attractions without having to constantly move the car.
My room was cozy, well appointed, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to get a great night's sleep. The staff throughout my stay were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant to interact with.
The only hiccup came with valet service. Unfortunately, no one on staff was able to drive a manual transmission, so I had to handle parking myself. It wasn't a major inconvenience, but for a hotel offering valet, it did take away from the overall experience just a bit.
Overall, I'd still recommend the Quirk Hotel for anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable stay in Richmond. The atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff made for an enjoyable visit, with just one small bump along the way.
Dont do it, worn tired, dirty, go elsewhere. See pics
