Really nice place, but would have preferred a stricter approach to pets in the restaurant.

Lovely stay but overpriced restaurant
Pros:

The location is lovely right on the beach I had a wonderful swim in the sea. Good breakfast included. Room was lovely, staff helpful when asked. Hotel is completely accessible which is great.

Cons:

Restaurant is only place around to eat and very overpriced for what we got, compared to the pub we went to the second night but that was quite a drive. No table in the room either to have eaten on. Some staff weren’t very pro active, great when asked for things but didn’t offer help some staff a bit curt too.
Bar was part of the restaurant so no cosy bar to sit in and have a drink, would be lovely if library could be a bar and serve bar meals
A few tweaks needed to make it where it thinks it is.

Food and drink were expensive. An annoying LED light on the AC controls kept me awake for most of the night!

Location, food, people an ideal weekend away
Pros:

Food was fantastic especially the dinner menu. Choice was excellent and my fillet steak was to die for and bigger than the normal size you would get. The pepper sauce best ever. Cheese board also needs a mention., better than most I have had

A spa would have been good but I believe that is in the plans

Great location.
Pros:

The location is amaizing.Probavly the best on the island.

Cons:

The price is very high, you pay for the location. Is no spa and the breakfast was awful. We ask for a taxi and they charged us £5 each for making the call. I never hear of any hotel charge per person for making the calll.

Stylish Hotel Great Location Basic Breakfast
Pros:

Close sea views from bedroom balcony. The rooms were spacious with a clean and tasteful modern style throughout. The pillow menu for sleep was exceptional/comfortable beds. Young staff were both friendly and helpful. Free car parking throughout our three night stay. Library lounge was comfortable. Macarons on arrival in room was a nice touch. Flower arrangements were good.

Cons:

In our opinion the breakfast offerings were basic and not up to the quality of the rest of the hotel.
We had issues with the hotel kitchen, for example, on our first day we ordered fried eggs with the cooked breakfast and all the eggs were under cooked raw in places! On our second day I had ordered the oat porridge and it was hot and wholesome as expected, so we both ordered the same on the third day and it was like warm and swimming in milk (a lack of consistency).
I have stayed at 3* 4* and 5* hotels where the ingredient’s were local and top quality for cooked breakfast and on granola; the Albion needs to review its kitchen to match the other standards in its hotel.
