Didn't stay in the end
Pros:

Location great, staff friendly, lobby looks lovely

Cons:

First: the hotel operates under a different name so was difficult to located (it is not called Hanoi HM Boutique).

We were informed at reception that we had to pay before check in. When I queried why we hadn't been told I was firmly told "Yes, we did tell you in our messages to you". A quick check through the messages showed we hadn't actually been told but we paid anyway. We were then told that the hotel was going through some refurbishment - something else we should have been told about.

We had booked an extra large double bed room with two single beds. Nowhere in the booking said they were put up beds and the photo actually shows multiple beds in the room. Put up beds were not sufficient for the people staying in them.

There were wet cigarette butts left on the room balcony, the room wasn't particularly clean, there were just sheets on the beds (no duvets and the sheets were torn anyway)... we were paying £80+ for the night and it just wasn't worth it, so we checked out and went to stay at La Siesta Premier up the road.

The hotel gave us back 50% of what we paid but really, we shouldn't have had to have paid anything given we weren't getting what we booked. But that's why they charge at check in

L’interrogatoire d’arrivee avant même d’aller poser ses bagages et qui même s’il est fait avec le sourire n’a qu’une ambition qu’on achete un maximum de réservation avec eux. Et si on ne reserve rien , on n’est moins considéré par cette personne le lendemain. De plus je suis tombée sur une chambre dont le coût etait interessant car bradé , mais une fois dedans j’ai constaté qu’à côté il y avait des travaux et des coups de marteau très pénibles impossible de se reposer en journée. L’accueil s'est excusée en disant que ce n’était pas chez eux mais je pense qu’il n’aurait pas fallu louer cette chambre.

Cons:

phòng không giống hình ảnh, phòng nhìn ra hồ nhưng chỉ thấy trước mặt 1 toà nhà cao tầng. wc mở cửa ra ngay giường ngủ nên khá là bất tiện
