The Metropolis Suites Davao

Staff were friendly and courteous.. but outside my window, the porch was dirty.

Room was quite big for a family of 4 and toilet was with a bath tub. Nice filipino breakfast included in our booking. Overall is good and happy.

Room is spacious with a tea maker and a little ref. Beds are good and bathroom is nice. Parking is difficult even though the security gaurd was very helpful. There is no elevator but we need the exercise anyway. The main problem was the breakfast. They want us only to stay in a package and have the same breakfast every day. When my wife ordered pancakes and ham she was told she had to choose one or the other but not both. So she ordered both and was charged for the extra breakfast which we were ok to do. They gave us a form to fill out the night before and I ordered pancakes and an omelette for 30 php extra. Then in the morning the front desk called my room wanting to know whether we wanted the ham or the pancakes. I repeated my order that I had alreadyh filled out. So I got the pancakes but not the omellete, even though I reminded the server I was expecting an omellette. So after that we stopped eating their breakfast. They seem to want us to follow their program and we can't order what we want even though we are willing to pay the extra.

rooms were clean and close to mall. Breakfast was less than average. reasonable price, my fiance left some things in room and staff did not let them know when they were checking room.

I think the room was overpriced. There are cheaper hotels that are just as good.
Cons:
-There is no elevator
-The aircon takes a long time to cool the room
-The breakfast is not good/too expensive for what you receive

Pros:
-Decent location/not too far from SM Lanang/Damosa
-Staff is helpful
-CR is nice (good hot water, comfortable tub, toothbrush included)
-Wifi was okay in room
-Refrigerator
-Clean room
-Lunch/Dinner food was good

I would not recommend a stay there unless everything else is booked. It just seems too expensive, unless you want a bathtub, refrigerator, and toothbrushes. If it was a little bit cheaper, I would recommend it.

The room is large, but empty. Maybe that is a pro for you? For me it’s a con because it makes the aircon take a long time to cool the room. But it was clean, so that was nice.

The room looked nice. Huge window to view the streets below. And having a refrigerator is always nice.

The location is like a 20 minute walk to SM Lanang/Damosa.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Small hotel not to far from airport, so convenient, simple small breakfast but you have options to make it a bit larger so need to go hungry for the day! People are friendly and helpful go there for years no shocking changes.

No iron in the hotel, wifi in the room is not good, but wifi in the lobby worked. Some breakfast selections are not available, hope they would crossed it out so you don't pick them anymore. I would suggest to bring your own towels, though they are generous to provide you with soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb and shampoo, they also give you bottled water. Bring your own tea, it's not free. I like the bed and the floor.

Hopefully, the Wi-Fi reception inside the room will be improved. Everything else are great!

Metropolis Suites is a good hotel with suitable amenities. Overall our stay was very good.
Just a little comment on the shower..its not very convenient when you don't want your hair to get wet. :)

部屋には髪の毛が沢山落ちていた。プールは使えない状態、歯磨き粉が使用済みのものが入っていた。

Everything was superb except for wifi. Nothing in my room and weak in the cafeteria.

no elevator..but nice food at the resto.

I am a regular traveller to Davao, nice city. Hotel is simple great food and nice people run it, staff in friendly and makes sure all is taken care off.
