The White Barn Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection

This property advertises itself as pet friendly but when I showed up with my dog, a french bulldog, I was told only certain accommodations (surprise, the most expensive ones) are pet friendly. So I had to pay $300 extra per night (on top of the $175 pet fee) to stay in a room that was not walking distance from the main building of the hotel (had to drive for breakfast, spa, dinner). I was also told to wait outside in 20 degree weather with my pregnant wife and dog while they had the other room ready.

If you want a classic New England experience, stay here. The rooms are fabulous (ask for Room 8, it has a fireplace and a huge bathroom) the staff just delightful. We spent a ton of time in the "Living Room" by the fire playing scrabble. The Christmas decor was classy. The food was great.

We just got back from a wonderful weekend at the White Barn Inn and I have to say, everything about it was fantastic.

The location in Kennebunkport is perfect - you're right in the middle of everything but it still feels peaceful and quiet. Super convenient for exploring the area.

The valet service was great - they took our car right away and it was waiting for us whenever we needed it. No hassle at all.

We got upgraded to the Garden Suite and it was amazing. The room was really spacious and had beautiful garden views. But the best parts were the window wall looking out onto our own personal christmas tree and the spacious and beautiful bathtub.

We had a spa treatment during our stay and it was incredible. The Masseuse really knew what she was doing and we left feeling completely relaxed.

The staff was fantastic. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the servers in the Little Barn restaurant was friendly and helpful. They really made us feel taken care of. Dinner and breakfast were both really good too.

Overall, it was an excellent stay. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice getaway in Kennebunkport. We'd definitely come back.

White Barn Inn is one of the properties that you always remember. While the facility and meals are exceptional it is really the service that sets it apart. We have been to the property in both winter and summer and can't decide which we like better. I guess we will have to try both again.

It was another wonderful trip to the White Barn Inn. The inn is beautiful, especially at the holidays, but the warm touches and the friendly staff are what really make it special. I can't wait to go back again!

Excellent experience with unparalleled service, truly five stars. Location is fantastic, and the staff make the experience warm and welcoming. Amenities offer the extra touch that most other resorts lack—definitely a destination and well worth the experience.

Our group of longtime girlfriends visited White Barn Inn during Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport and it was an incredible experience. While I expected the highlights to be both the beautiful property and the dining experience (and they were), the White Barn team ended up being the thing that made our visit most special. From a sweet welcome note and local treats to the incredible waitstaff at Little Barn, the Front Desk staff that always greeted us with a smile (and s'mores kits) and the incredible drivers that were always happy to pick us up at our cottage and drive us to the main property or drop us in town. They made our visit so fun andspecial -- and we enjoyed every minute. I will absolutely return... And am excited to start looking into future stays at some of the other incredible Auberge properties.

This is a charming Inn with all of the extras you could ever imagine. The staff were warm and the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting.

We had the best stay at White Barn Inn. From the moment we arrived the service at this hotel genuinely stood out. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. It felt like staying with friends who anticipate your every need. Eric, at the White Barn restaurant went above and beyond, taking the time to talk with our 9 year old daughter and make sure she was also having a great time. We cannot wait to return!!

We stayed last time in the suites in the Inn itself - I would recommend that over the cottages which we stayed in this time. Everything about the White Barn is special - so the cottage was still lovely - just not as fancy or luxe as the suite and more expensive but if you do choose the cottage, note that you will have some issues using the bathrooms to get ready to go out - the space is tight at least in the cottage we were in, which was the Tern. Overall the main thing about White Barn is the staff. They are beyond lovely, personable, eager to please. If I had a dollar for every time someone on the staff stopped us to wish my husband a happy birthday, I would be a very wealthy lady! Over all a wonderful place

My husband and I vacation at Auberge resorts every year because the design, service, and experience are so great. The White Barn Inn makes you feel so special. When I made requests, they were attended to immediately with care and personalization. They double upgraded us to a stunning fireplace suite with a soaking tub... I could stay in that room for the rest of my life! There are so many precious details about staying here. The pictures don't do it justice and anyone who hates on this place is totally jaded! I'll just stay if you want to be completely and utterly taken care of, Auberge is the answer.

Highly recommend for a cozy getaway- we didn't expect the inn and downtown to be so vibrant with activity. Everywhere was bustling with shoppers, walkers, and diners. we stayed in the loon cottage and the views were sparkly and bright with the morning sun over the harbor. We want to come back to enjoy another time of year!

We had an incredible stay in Garden Room 1 and can’t say enough great things about the property and the amazing staff. From the moment we booked, the team was so helpful, offering suggestions to help us plan our weekend even before we arrived. The room was beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared, and the service throughout our stay was truly the best I’ve ever experienced.

Our weekend began with a late arrival due to traffic, and the staff kindly pushed our dinner reservation back an hour. The wait staff was fantastic, the food was amazing, and valet made everything seamless, helping with our bags and welcoming us so kindly when we were exhausted. We were celebrating our anniversary, and all the thoughtful touches made it feel extra special: handwritten notes, a bottle of champagne, local snacks in the room, daily coffee delivery, and turndown service. Even on nights we didn’t use turndown service because we brought our dog, someone still stopped by to offer extra water or chocolate, small gestures that went a long way.

We also had the chef’s tasting dinner at the restaraunt, which was absolutely phenomenal. Each course was beautifully executed, full of flavor, and perfectly paced. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about every dish and made the experience even more memorable.

The departure cookies and water were a lovely touch and such a sweet way to end the trip.

Overall, we had an amazing stay and will absolutely return. The property is beautiful, but it’s the warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful staff that make the experience truly exceptional.

The White Barn Inn lived up to it's reputation. It's a comfortable Inn with a friendly, attentive staff at all levels. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and overall experience exceeded expectations. The room was clean and comfortable and had a Maine inn cozy feel. The dining experience in the White Barn Restaurant was very special and the perfect way to celebrate.

Outstanding stay from start to finish. Spacious, luxurious room (junior suite), outstand spa, and a dinner with food and service at a Michelin level. They included special treat for our anniversary and it was in walking distance for a beautiful fall walk on the beach . Top notch, can't recommend highly enough.

The moment you enter the property you are immediately greeted with the best in customer service. A welcome beverage, and seamless check-in process make your arrival effortless. The cozy common areas and the quaint rooms make the White Barn Inn a unique and special place to visit. You feel right at home, without the work! A perfect "launch" point for any day trip, and close to the beaches and shopping of downtown Kennebunkport. A prime location!

Had a massage scheduled and got sick with the flu. Asked to cancel the massage about 12hours before because could not quit coughing and did not want to infect the masseuse. Was told I would have to pay for it.
Then decided to go through with massage in modified fashion and told masseuse refused....as she did not want to get sick
