OYO Hotel Starlite Seneca Falls

Unfortunately, nearly everything else about my stay was disappointing. Each time housekeeping serviced the room, the air conditioning was turned off, leaving the room hot when I returned. There was also no “Do Not Disturb” sign available.

The shower did not work properly, and neither did the bathtub stopper. I had to push a washcloth into the drain just to take a bath. The chair in my room was broken, and the bed base appeared to be supported by 2x4 boards running across it. The television was very small and mounted far away from the bed, making it difficult to watch.

The microwave and refrigerator were unplugged when I arrived. Thankfully, I noticed before placing anything in the refrigerator, and both appliances worked after I plugged them in.

I also had an issue with my room key not working. When I went to the office for assistance, there was a language barrier with the employee working there. Rather than finding someone to help, she walked away and left me waiting for approximately 15–20 minutes. Eventually, the same young man who checked me in came downstairs and remade my key.

For the amount of money I paid, I expected much better accommodations and service. I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel in Waterloo for a similar price. Overall, this hotel lacked basic comfort, maintenance, and customer service. The only positive interaction I had was with the young man who checked me in and later helped with my room key.

This place is terrible. We booked a 3 BEDROOM suite. Literally stated Bedroom 1: Queen bed, Bedroom 2: Queen bed, Bedroom 3: Queen bed. When we arrived we were given 1 room with 4 double beds. With a room with a toilet and shower. Sink in the other room next to the fridge.

When I first arrived I was given a room that as soon as I opened the door there was a strong smoke smell and I could see a dark carpet. I went back to the office and I was changed to a different building. This room had clean laminate floor, a clean bed, and a clean bathroom so I stayed. I would not recommend it though and would not stay there again. The nightstand and dresser were dirty as well as the door. The safety chain was old and rusty and was hanging by one screw. I didn't think it would keep anyone from pushing the door in.

Room was small, bed was very uncomfortable, toilet moved when you sat on it , TV was small and it took a long time to fill the Jacuzzi tub since the hot water ran very slow.

I did not like how they charged me a no show fee then charged me the stay of the room. I stayed there.

We planned on staying here for 2 nights for the Its a Wonderful Life Festival. We walked into the room and immediately noticed this terrible smell. Then we noticed bad, unusual stains on the chair by the door. We then oulled the sheets back to check the mattress and that was full of disgusting stains. We told the lady at the front desk that we could not stay there and asked for a refund. She said she could not give us one because we had booked though booking.com. So I tried to get a refund through booking.com and have not been able to get one. So i had to pay twice for 2 nights in a hotel for my daughters bday weekend, once at Oyo and then at another, cleaner hotel. Very very disappointed with both Oyo and booking.com

The bathroom sink was a little too wobbly. The TV remote worked really slow. But nothing really to deteriorate us from coming again.
