Good hotel on North Shore
Pros:

The hotel itself was clean, and the employees seemed friendly. We went to the pool twice, and it was one of the most secure pools we’ve been in ( only 2nd to Disney’s Aulani). Our entire family had to check in for towels and wristbands. The pool was nice with a waterfall. They also have swings, a hot tub, and a fire pit. My daughters both enjoyed the treadmills which had Hawai’i locations to look at. We tried the Starbucks which seemed overpriced. My daughter also said her drink was not very good. I walked to McDonald’s for breakfast each morning. Their coffee was better. We were not interested in the Polynesian Cultural Center next door, but they did have good food trucks. There are several great lunch and dinner options a short drive away.

Average, thankfully we found d luxury 30mins down the road at half the cost too!
Pros:

Proximity to PCC and the pool area was lovely.

Cons:

Paper cups in our room and no glasses to drink from. Not good for a supposed luxury hotel. The room was also very dark with only a few low lighting lamps.

Cons:

The bathroom had a strong urine order. The refrigerator also had a strong order or spoiled food. I was disappointed in the sheets they were very bumpy and rough .

new hotel and convenient location/amenities
Pros:

We hadn’t heard of this hotel before, but noticed it was next door to the Polynesian cultural center, so we wanted to crash there after the night show, and drive back to Waikiki in the morning.

The hotel was built in 2015 so it’s quite new, with a lot of device charge ports. Each room has a wall AC unit (loud) and fridge. The WiFi was good. The bathroom was fine but kind of an outdated look - no big deal. Blackout drapes and beds were fine.

The staff was very nice and the amenities are great with a nice pool, games, and rental equipment for the beach. Plenty of parking with some shade provided by shrubbery and trees. Onsite Starbucks, counter service restaurant, and gas station style snack shop. McDonald’s and foodland are nearby too.

It was great to be able to go to the PCC for a while, then return to the room to cool off and rest, and then return to the park quickly. It was pricey for June around $400 for 2 queen room, but it did make our trip more comfortable.

Die Unterkunft eignet sich als Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten und Ausflüge auf der North Shore.

Cons:

Das Hotel bietet aus unserer Sicht ein sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Zimmer sind dunkel, wirken veraltet und aus dem Waschbecken im Bad kam ein unangenehmer Geruch. Trotz der hohen Zimmerpreise fallen für viele Leistungen zusätzliche Kosten an, beispielsweise für Parken oder Strandstühle, die in anderen, günstigeren Hotels oft inklusive sind. Das gastronomische Angebot beschränkt sich auf ein wenig einladendes Bistro in der Lobby, die insgesamt eher an ein Hostel als an ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse erinnert. Der Strand direkt gegenüber dem Hotel eignet sich kaum zum Baden. Auf unsere Beschwerde wegen des Geruchs im Badezimmer erfolgte zwar eine Entschuldigung, jedoch keine weitere Entschädigung.

Evening daycare
Pros:

We thought location was great. We were hoping to enjoy the pool and hot tub. The staff was friendly, housekeeping was very nice. We did not expect the people in the evening who were not guest to be congregating and taking up the areas, they were playing hide n seek. Freeze tag, crowding the hot tub. Skateboarding and bouncing balls and throwing footballs. It was a strange situation. We could not relax or use the area. Definitely not a pleasant experience unless you like daycare center environments.

Nice area but too many guest that weren’t paying to stay here!
Pros:

The staff was super friendly. Kind housekeeping, kind staff at front desk and Bistro.

Cons:

We were not able to use the hot tub or pool. The entire area was filled with large groups that were not hotel guest. The pool was full and the hot tub was packed with children. Children ran around on scooters and skateboarding. Playing tag and other running games. No relaxing at all. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal. Gute Zimmerausstattung und viele zusätzliche Möglichkeiten wie Fitnessgeräte und eine Poolanlage

Cons:

Die Klimaanlage machte während des Betriebs starke Geräusche. Nachdem wir dies an der Rezeption gemeldet hatten, wurde sofort ein Techniker geschickt, welcher den Mangel beseitigt hat.
