Pros:

The location is great.
Don't miss the eggs at breakfast, prepared by the owner. She and Ante are wonderful.
Spend the money on the room with the view of the church. It is magical at night and early in the morning.

5 Star Stay inside the Palace of the Roman Empire in 300 AD!
Pros:

I love the staff! Jan, Ivan, Anet, Juliet and everyone else I missed. It was a home away from home! 5 star accommodation and service! The team went out of their way to make your stay relaxing, comfortable and memorable! I loved breakfast, fresh pastries, juices, and coffee! The AC worked great! The hotel was situated in very close walking distance to fabulous restaurants, gileto shops, and high end sick scarves shops that featured Dalmatian pattens! The music nearby at 1700 year square in evenings were pleasant and filled with fold from around the world!

Cons:

I prefer single king size beds versus pushing two twins together although it was still very confortable. I was grateful for the help getting my luggage to the location in old town during the early evening! Would have struggled if I didn't stay in touch with the 24x7 staff that is so passionate about making your stay the best in Split!!! Dry lucky to have met such a well educated and talented team that could speak superb English in addition to numerous others!

A perfect place to stay while in Split
Pros:

A perfect place to stay while in Split. Our room was spectacular and the view of the Tower made it feel very authentic. The entire staff made our stay absolutely perfect. It was all of the little details that made our stay so memorable. We noticed them all 😊. Thank you!

The ONLY place to stay inside the Palace walls!
Pros:

The customer service is next level. We were greeted with a warm smile in the street by Juliana after getting lost. Our bags were carried to our room. The breakfast is wonderfully cooked by Jan with plenty of other options on the buffet. Coffee and snacks are available all day, self-serve. Excellent recommendations for restaurants and a tour guide, who was a history professor and was spectacular. Jan even walked me and my bags to the next hotel I was staying at. These are life long natives who love their jobs and their city. We were treated like friends. Bravo to you!

Magnífico hotel en Split
Pros:

Best hotel experience of my life!
Pros:

I just returned from Croatia and stayed in this hotel twice during my trip. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and the rooms are exceptionally comfortable and well appointed. However, the staff are the stars of the show. During my stays, I had the pleasure of meeting Ante, Juliana, and Jan. They were all so warm, friendly, professional, and welcoming. They helped me with airport transportation, restaurant recommendations and reservations, luggage, and any other questions or needs that came up. I really enjoyed talking with them and by the time I left, felt that I had genuinely made friends in Croatia. The daily included breakfast is a real treat and coffee, juice, water, fruit, pastries, and delicious Croatian liqueurs are available all day in the lovely dining area. The hotel is situated in the historic part of the city adjacent to the Diocletian Palace and all of the historic sites, restaurants, shopping, outdoor markets, etc are easily walkable. I was traveling alone and the hotel and location felt extremely safe and secure at all hours. I will definitely visit Croatia again and would not consider staying anywhere else!

Excellent place to stay in Split
Pros:

Not only is the hotel an amazing property, the staff are what make this place truly memorable. From restaurant suggestions, to the lovely breakfast service, to meeting us and walking us to the hotel on our first day, the service was top notch. I highly recommend this hotel. Our room faced the church so you easily heard the bells in the morning. The square outside was busy and you did hear some noise from the street but it was muted.

The best of Split
Pros:

Wow . By far the best hotel we stayed at so far on our Italy/ Croatia trip. Big room, great bathroom, friendly staff and located in the Palace area.
Two issues to be aware of: make sure you have the address as finding anything in Split can be challenging due to Apple Maps not working that well and there is no lift so stairs are required but the great staff carry your bags up and down for you.
All day hot and cold drinks near reception.

Pros:

A great stay with wonderful hosts. The hotel is exceptional and the staff provide the best service we have had.

Cons:

Not a criticism it's an individual thing but we found the bed to be too firm.

Decent but cannot recommend for price
Pros:

Cannot recommend. Most reviews and photos are not representative. Location is fantastic, but the rest is not. Small, musty room. Not very clean for our stay. Noise level was ok. The atmosphere of the hotel doesn’t make up for its shortcomings. Breakfast is terrible and there was no service for the “a la carte” options you were supposed to be able to order. We spent two nights here and moved to a different hotel, even though our last night was not refundable. For the price of the hotel, recommend other options like the Coronado or other heritage hotels, which are also close to the area and better quality for similar pricing.

An Oasis in Split
Pros:

I didn’t just like everything, I loved everything about this hotel. From the moment we arrived, I felt welcomed and attended to; the woman who met us (sorry I don’t remember your name) showed us a map of where we were, what to see and when, and gave us restaurant suggestions. Yan treated us like family, asking about our day, how did we sleep, etc. He was proactive in asking about our ins and outs and then arranging help with our luggage. He figured out our luggage transport, car rental and ferry issues. Stressless for us! Beautifully decorated room. Beds, towels, pillows, robes, slippers very comfortable. Quiet AC, good fan in bathroom. Good lighting. Breakfast is delicious! Eggs and pancakes cooked to order and a buffet.
