The location was right next to the train station which was very convenient for our one night stay. Winterthur is a beautiful little area right outside of Zurich. The restaurant at the hotel was delicious! The bread and house made sauces were a highlight of our 3 weeks trip to Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Zurich region.

The night staff was polite.
We stayed in Room 205, and the air conditioning completely failed, leaving the room at a stifling 26°C and stuffy all night . While the night staff was polite and brought us fans, they were fully booked and could not move us. We barely slept. I contacted management to request a reasonable partial refund for the lack of a basic, advertised amenity. However, the hotel manager repeatedly refused any form of compensation. His final justification was that the AC was repaired after our stay for future guests—which does nothing to resolve the sleepless, uncomfortable night we paid for. Things can go wrong during travel, but the true measure of a hotel is how they handle issues when they occur. Unfortunately, the management here chose to do nothing to make it right. I would not recommend staying here because if something goes wrong -- it's unlikely they will do anything about it.
