Fantastic staff! Soulitad, the woman at the front desk, helped us to retrieve lost luggage! She went out of her way to help us. The staff here is phenomenal. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. Even the high ceilings in the room were clean! I was so impressed with the cleanliness. Really quiet and relaxing.
Comfortable hotel lovely rooms with a balcony looking over the pool very tranquil. Pool wonderful.
Breakfast with delicious choices of food, waitress & chefs great.
Hotel staff were very caring and respectful always willing to help with kind smiling faces.
Very enjoyable stay👏
Great 2 night stay. However 1st night we were separated from the rest of the family. They have two building. And it’s down the block from the main. The second building is above the kitchen / restaurant and about 4am you can smell the food preparation.
Garden and atmosphere look nice
The staff at the Treasure Hotel are very friendly and helpful. I stay there regularly with my family and it is always a good experience.
All was good except the internet wasnt stable in the rooms.
Staff and service is amazing! Very friendly and nice people. Room was clean, has everything you could need. Walkable to the night market which was amazing. Well recommended
I was here as part of a G Adventure Tour. The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly however, they did not really go out of their way to be helpful.
It was also somewhat centrally located. It was about a 10 minute walk to the night market. The other positive was the fact that there was a very inexpensive place to do laundry around the corner.
The cons …. I think they get a lot of tour group business and therefore, perhaps don’t really care. There are eight bicycles on display for guests to use. However, none of them work. They either have a flat tire, or the lock is broken. I was directed to a Guesthouse down the street to rent a bike for the day.
Breakfast is really hit and miss. If you happen to be there on a day where there are at least two tour groups, there is a wide variety of selection of both hot and cold breakfast foods. If you are on a day where it is only your group, then the options are quite limited. You have fruit, toast, and some kind of egg. They don’t mention it but you also can also order noodle soup.
On the last day that I was there, it was especially annoying, because the cook had made a wide variety of food for a photo shoot, but it was not available to eat. And the irony is these photos will be shown as what is available for breakfast, but it is not available for breakfast.
There is a pool, but there are no pool loungers. Nor will they provide you one if you ask.
I was asked to change my room, as it was reserved, but I ended up just changing hotels. I highly recommend the Grand Luangprabang. For an extra $20 you receive a magical experience on the bank of the Mekong river.
There's nothing to complain about in this hotel
Great rooms, staff, facilities, close to things, good breakfast, TV, internet good, pool nice, balconies with fan, fridge, comfortable beds, daily cleaning etc.
Went there with a tour group! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was a short 50m walk down the street which was also nice. We would recommend this hotel to another group
I would have given them a better rating, but we were with a tour group and one of the girls had dried a shirt on a couple towels and a little color bled to the towels. They charged her $40 USD for two towels in Laos. We just thought that it was a little excessive. These were not 5 star hotel towels either. Bad customer service IMO.
I arrived as part of a tour group set to share in a dorm but I fancied treating myself so purchased a double room as I stood in the lobby. The reservation came through the system quickly and I was soon shown to my room, the receptionist whispering that he had given me a delux suite on the way. I had free use of the small pool (didn’t have time unfortunately) and breakfast included in a separate building, which was one of the better ones.
The room was huge with a balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom was large with towel rails and plenty of space to put toiletries. The AC unit was by the door so it didn’t blow directly on me during the night and there was bottled water, a kettle, tv, fridge, safe and even bath robes. Utter luxury after the places I had been staying! No negative points at all.
The hotel had only just opened, the rooms were spacious and the staff were attentive. The downside was that it was a 15 minute walk to town, and in this weather really doesn't help. Breakfast was available across the road in their restaurant it was basic, it appears that creativity is lacking, it was the same breakfast everyday. No variety whatsoever. It did have a pool which was very small and hidden away.
This place blew us out of the water. Beautiful property and everything went very smoothly. Huge rooms with balconies, quiet and reliable amenities. Basic breakfast but still worth the stay. Close enough to everything you want to see.
Treasure in an oasis of beauty. A stunning hotel, in a wonderful garden setting. Huge rooms, friendly, quiet and relaxing. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did in this stunning city and take a relaxing dip in the freezing cold waters of the pool!
This hotel had very friendly staff. The rooms were large, bathrooms also modern and spacious, and there was a nice size balcony overlooking the pool, which was refreshingly cool. It was located 10 minutes cycle ride from the old town but could easily be walked too. Breakfast was in the hotel restaurant nearby.
A great hotel for three nights after two days on a slow boat on the Mekong. The upper rooms have high ceilings and lovely balconies, although in April in was too hot to sit our. They over look the small pool, but deep enough for a proper swim.
We stayed 3 nights at the Treasure Hotel, on our G Adventures tour. We were in room 505, which was a ground floor room. We had to accept that it had 2 single beds, as part of the deal to get a ground floor room. As other reviewers have noted, the room key was huge. You left your shoes outside the door (and also outside the breakfast room down the street).
The room and bathroom were big. There was a TV, A/C, electronic safe, a small fridge, 2 bottles of water, coffee pot, US style plugs, robes and 2 umbrellas, and 2 fans (one on the patio). There were 2 chairs and a table on the patio. The room was right beside the (cold) pool, but you had to go out the door of the room, and down to the end of the building to get to the path to the pool. You have to sign out a pool towel at the lobby.
Breakfast was in a separate building down the street, and just a little ways past that was a laundry.
We had trouble with the tuk tuk drivers in this town. Telling them where we wanted to go and showing them the street on a map was not sufficient for them, and they'd take us to a completely different part of town. One driver was having engine problems (after taking us to the wrong place), and finally his tuk tuk engine completely died. He said it would only be 3 minutes to fix it. We didn't believe him, and got out after paying him, and got another tuk tuk.
But the hotel was nice, and we would stay there again.
The rooms are huge, and so are the bathrooms. Well appointed and very comfortable with nice toiletries. The smallish pool was fresh and ice cold after a long hot day in the town. It's quite a long walk into town, but it's an easy walk along wide pavements. Breakfast is served at a building about 40 metres down the road and is adequate. You can order eggs and there's a great bean to cup coffee machine! They also operate a restaurant in town so you may see the staff everywhere, and they also provide transport services and much more.
The reception staff were all great, and one young man in particular, and I'm afraid I've forgotten his name, but they were all very helpful and friendly. You can get pool towels from them to take with to the waterfall.
I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel without hesitation. There are lots of mosquitoes, so keep your verandah door closed and bring bug spray.
Beautiful hotel with very friendly and useful staff.
The rooms are just beautiful! You should ask for a room on the second floor around the pool so we can have a balcony and a very high ceiling!
Not far from the city center so you can explore easily by walking or by renting a bike!
