As soon as i entered the room for the first time, a musty smell was evident. I think there was mold in the AC, which happens fairly often. I am sensitive to mold, and was sneezing a bit during my stay. The room itself was ok. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, but functional. But the musty smell will prevent me from coming back.
We arrived later at night. Man at reception did not speak English. Originally given a smoking room, after a while was able to communicate that I didn't need a new key but wanted a non-smoking room. Room was small, no safe. Shower was over the toilet. Lady at reception in the morning spoke English. Arranged for a taxi to take us to Marble mountain then to Hoi An hotel (said we could have as many hours as we like for 500,000Dong). Taxi did not stop at marble mountain instead tried to stop at a marble shop for us to get a photo - not what we had asked her to communicate on our behalf and found that we could get a transfer from Hoi An to DaNang airport for 250,000Dong!
Good location, very basic accommodation, staffs are quite helpful but very minimum English. Suitable for local people (that like budget and don't have expectation) to stay but a little disappointed for tourist I supposed. I didn't see foreign tourists around when I was there. No breakfast (as mentioned in the booking) They didn’t serve food basically! But you got fast food, food shops/ vendors, cafe in a stone throw away. No electrical kettle in the room. You have to pay for the 500ml bottle water. Very noisy corridor during the morning. The shower in my room didn’t work well, the hot water turned into cold water half way of my shower. I informed them the next morning, they changed another room for me. Basically, don’t expect anything for the price you paid.
Stayed for 3 days which I extended to the 4th night. This is a seriously good hotel very helpful friendly staff. Clean and efficient. I had some ants foraging in my room and they were exterminated within 5 minutes. Its in a quiet area of town and the local food bars around the corner are great and the prices are a steal(just to be clear you are stealing from them).
This hotel is built of marble and well maintained roomy. Been travelling for about 6 months now and this is the best hotel I have stayed in for this price in that time. I am going back there for 6 months in July 2018.
A less positive note : bottled water is not free here and its 3 times the cost of water from the bakery opposite the road. Advice leave minibar alone take your drinks from outside
