Always a great place to stay but maintenance is an issue sometimes
Pros:

The location, the view to the lake, the staff is so warm and willing to help in every situation. The restaurant was better than in my memory.

Cons:

In both rooms I occupied the shower wasn't working well (couldn't switch between modes), and I had hot water in the sink but not in the shower

Very nice hotel
Pros:

Homey, very quiet, very large room. Super friendly and attentive staff. Nice pool area, comfy bar.

Cons:

Breakfast is a bit sub-standard, no cheese/cold cuts, only toast bread, very basic cereals.

Confortable and relaxing.
Pros:

The breakfast was great, enjoyed by both adults and children. The restaurant staff were welcoming and very friendly. The server was great with wide knowledge of food served at the restaurant.

Pros:

We had a lovely stay at the Sovereign Hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. I would definitely visit again.

Wonderful staff and a perfect place to stay for couples or families.
Pros:

The staff were simply wonderful. Went out of their way to help myself, my partner and our daughter enjoy our stay visiting family. Arranged two buffet meals at short notice for our family of up to 20 people and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Made the sheltered area by the pool look beautiful for us too.
The food was mostly wonderful. Buffet breakfast was great with a nice selection.
Our family room was very large and comfortable.
Kevin and the chef were stars.

Cons:

Some of the decor is a little dated now but still looks lovely.
À la carte breakfasts not as good as the buffet days.

I always enjoy staying here, it provides a comfortable, home-like experience.
Pros:

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The location is ideal, set in a quiet area while still being easily accessible to many facilities within Kisumu town.

The staff are generally welcoming and friendly, especially the security and front office teams. However, the restaurant staff came across as less warm, and a more friendly approach would greatly improve the overall experience.

Prachtige tuin en heerlijk zwembad
Pros:

De vriendelijke medewerkers waren altijd bereid om te helpen en een gezellig praatje te maken.
De tuin bij het zwembad is een juweeltje. De planten zijn goed verzorgd en heel mooi. Het mozaïeken zwembad is fijn en brandschoon.

Pros:

The location is excellent, right next to the lake. I had a very large and comfortable room with a view to the lake. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will come back without hesitation.

Cons:

The hotel could certainly "afford" a better restaurant. The breakfast was generally substandard (although the coffee is excellent!). I had dinner once and was less than impressed.
