H10 Costa Mogán

We’re big H10 hotel fans and Costa Mogan didn’t disappoint! Front desk reception was amazing, especially Verena who was kind and helpful. Amazing location on the water with a beautiful, but chilly pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was delicious with fresh prepared omelets and Cava. Can’t wait to return!

Super Food super Service…….go there

Beautiful, sea-front mid-range hotel. Friendly staff. We had bed and breakfast and were very happy with that. The breakfast was okay, but certainly not special. There are a few simple but pleasant restaurants within walking distance that serve surprisingly good dishes. You don't need a car; the buses at ± 150m go in all directions. There is loud music, often right below your terrace, from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Arrived late afternoon to a warm welcome from Celia who gave us detailed information on the hotel when checking us in. We are H10 club members and have enjoyed many happy holidays in other H10 hotels so were eager to see what this one offered.
We had booked a standard Junior Suite and had requested a quiet high floor room and we were given a top floor room overlooking the front of the hotel which was very quiet. The room was impressive ,large with twin beds exactly like the website. We did not mind the shower arrangement being in the room and everything in the room was in perfect working order and kept very clean by a pleasant cleaning lady who greeted us every morning in the corridor well worth a tip.
The pool area was nice no rushing for sunbeds and there were beds available at any time of day, we particularly liked the sunbeds behind the roped area where you could see the sea and watch the boats go by, very relaxing. The drinks from the pool bar were nice and always served with a smile by the young barman , also if you didn't want to go into the restaurant at lunchtime the usual snacks were available from there
The view from the rooftop terrace was spectacular and a nice place for a late afternoon tipple before getting ready for dinner, again lovely staff there too..
Please be aware that although there is an extensive drinks menu on All Inclusive not all drinks were available at the bars such as Drambuie the bar staff told us they had never had it, we enjoy one with a coffee after dinner. No Fever tree Mediterranean tonic until the last day of our holiday and no Smirnoff the day before we left and the bar staff didn't know when some would come, not a deal breaker you would say but if its your tipple you would like it to be there.

Now to the food we agree with other reviewers this is where it lets the hotel down, very little choice in the hot food, the meat was tough and the lack of vegetables which were usually lukewarm even if you went in at 6.30pm was disappointing. We spoke with other guests who loved the hotel but also found the food not up to standard which is a shame.
It seems although there have been lots of reviews about the food since last year but nothing has changed.
The good things here outweigh the one bad thing and it was a enjoyable relaxing break in glorious sunshine just what we needed to get away from the wet cold weather in the UK.
It's a hotel worth another visit due to the wonderful friendly staff.

Awesome hotel. Too bad that I only stayed for a week. Will be back in the future. Everything was great, food, drinks, staff. Can fully recommend it.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. One or two minor issues that were quickly resolved. Well located for the neighbouring towns of Morgan and Peuto Rico by bus.
The upgrade to Privilege is worth the money.
Pool is very cold and it takes a brave person to venture in.

Super hotel, a nice quiet location, rooms were large and super clean with a very comfy bed. The staff were all very friendly without exception. If you wanted to go out sightseeing the bus stop is a few mins walk from the hotel with buses going to lots of places on the island or you could take a taxi not expensive, a very relaxed hotel, laze about all day by the pool or up on the roof terrace, or do some activities you could get lunch at the pool bar saves going down to the restaurant the food in the restaurant was great so much to choose from something for everyone.

This was our second year of visiting this hotel and we had a fabulous holiday,the hotel itself is great, staff are friendly and helpful. However disappointed that at meal times we had to pay for water. Food again ‚same as last year, could be hotter.
After evening meal when going to the bar only one bartender and queues lengthy for up to an hour, until another bartender arrives. The lunchtime water aerobics session is unnecessarily load with the animation guy shouting through whole session, found this totally un relaxing maybe could just turn music down a bit.However We would still return. Do think the new privilege room was a waste of space,we were there for 3weeks and didn’t see one person use it, and some nights were struggling to find inside seats when it was a bit chilly outside.

A beautiful clean hotel directly on the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The food and drinks available on all inclusive option are great and plentiful. Very friendly staff. Local buses just outside the hotel and ability to book tours nearby with the local shop within walking distance. A lovely spot for winter sun and would return.

Second year we have visited H10 Costa Mogan. Our stay was excellent due to the friendly staff, choice of cuisine and location.
We will return next January as this hotel meets all our needs.

Great hotel in a quiet location. The fushion restaurant was exceptional with very good service and excellent food.would highly recommend.

This hotel is so chilled out in the quiet resort of Playa del cura...H10 hotels are always perfect ..a few little niggles were ..if you only stayed 5 nights you couldn't have free all a carte in the fusion resturant, you had to pay for the privilege..also complimenrty tea & coffee was only free in your room for the first night ..we just popped to the spar up the road and got some cappuccino coffee sachets & borrowed sugars from breakfast table..positive stuff was AI drinks all day/ night and AI food lunchtime & evening ..
We were lucky to have ground floor room with 2 sunbeds in front garden which allowed us to chill all day if needed..
Taxi to peurto de mogan on Friday market day was only 8 euros..
If you want a relaxing chill out break in gran canaria this is for you ..special mention to the gorgeous lady with the round glasses on reception who was fantastic (wish I knew her name)

Had a nice week mid January. Had my birthday whilst there, nice touch by management a bottle of cava on ice awaited in room on our return from day out .
Good points ..beautiful sea view room..clean hotel..nice staff...quiet ..sunloungers ..nice beach..lovely bar snacks ..great bus route .
Only down points ..Luke warm food and not much variety of hot food.
On saying that would probably return as always found something nice to eat .

We are seniors 80+. H10 Costa Mogan , adult only hotel was
ideal choice for us. No fear of very active young ones running about.
Safety first for us. This hotel ideal location & designed for ease of movement. No shortage of Comfortable sun beds surrounding a spacious pool .
Half board option ideal for us , plentiful nice Buffet food options .
Free bubbly at breakfast nice touch.

A short pedestrian walkway downhill to reception & kind reception lady
helped take bags to taxi on departure.

Overall we enjoyed our stay & would likely return .

the place is clean and the room was nice because we had a sea view. also the service was nice. the kitchen could have been better.

Very disappointed in the hotel, very tired in places not 5 star as advertised.

We had a junior suite and the shower and sink were in the middle of the room, the toilet was behind the sink and was very tight and compact area, room not ideal.

One occasion our room was 'missed' by housekeeping and I had to ask for new towels.

Pool Area: The pool area was very nice with a nice outlook onto the beach and sea, and considering the time of year was quite warm, there is a VIP area which apparently you have to pay for, just sun beds and a couple of hammocks and sheltered areas I believe €25 but considering the price we paid I feel should have been included in the cost of the holiday considering we paid over £2100 pound for 7 nights just for the hotel (flights were booked separate)

The pool bar served very nice snacks from 12-5 which we found out on the 3rd day as we were not informed on arrival by reception staff.

Food: the food was not good but any mean strokes! Everything was self service, no staff to give out coffee or tea etc at breakfast just a 'vending' machine, also staff walked by and did not collect used plates etc
The hot counter did not keep the food warm and the choice of food was very limited, the hot counter that did pizzas and pasta was like a child's buffet area not what you expect in a 5* adults all inclusive, they did not seem to replenish food either after a certain time of an evening.

Never been to Gran Canaria before but it is a lovely place and the weather for January was amazing! We will return but not to a H10 hotel, not a brand I want to visit again, very disappointing.

Room was dark and dreary and not what I expected from a suite. Staff at reception not friendly and one person in particular she was bordering on rude. Food was dull and ordinary with very little variation or choice. Sink was mouldy (see picture) . Ants everywhere in room. Area was very remote but excellent bus service to local towns and the airport

Had 9 nights early January. Thoroughly enjoyed, a very good buffet throughout. Room was excellent, sea view and staff etc all very helpful. Lovely roof top bar to enjoy as well

We enjoyed a fabulous holiday just what we needed relaxing, quiet, good food and drink, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The cleanliness second to none. Rooms were lovely with great sea view.
Only criticism was at times hot food was lukewarm and the Tapas Restaurant was too bright no atmosphere.

An excellent all inclusive experience with Privilege. Principally, the Restaurant Fusión. Hosted by Antonia (Toni) the delightful front of house. Ably assisted by Juan Miguel, they form a superb team to front the really first class cuisine. What a great team of lovely people to make a stay at Hotel Mogan truly special. Highly recommended.
