Definitely not a five star, not its service or room cleaniless. Its about comfort and safetiness.
The room curtain was not black out and sunlight can comes right through on two sides.
The bath without good hot shower and most importantly the water goes to the floor as the rim caught the water. I have to use all the towels to wipe after the bath.
These are enough for me to file a review after the first night out of four more. 😣😣😣
We're group of friends stayed there for four nights. The hotel very good. Staff there is helpful. Breakfast is okay. But only possible I faced WiFi is very poor.
,, other than everything is fine. Thanks all the staff.....
The staff is very, very rude and will treat you like you don't belong there. They need to do a better job training the employees.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to this hotel as they exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is superb, it's elegant and cozy. The staff were all accommodating and pleasant. We loved the breakfast buffet as it offers variety of food and it's very tasty. Overall, the service is totally amazing and I can personally recommend it as it provides convenience and comfort, plus it's very cheap for the entire service package.
There is this lady at the front desk which is nasty to say the least. Very unprofessional and treats you like you are an animal.
Terrible Experience – Never Stay Here
Our stay at Al Meroz Bangkok was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. When we returned to our room, we were shocked to find the door left open and a watch missing. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism, the hotel staff added insult to injury.
At checkout, when we complained, the staff accused us of stealing their bed linen cover (the middle liner). They even forced us to open all our bags for inspection in front of them – nothing was found, of course – but the entire process was humiliating and insulting.
This hotel not only failed to provide basic safety and security but also treated us with complete disrespect. There is nothing special about this place to justify such horrible service and accusations.
I strongly advise everyone to avoid Al Meroz Bangkok – if you value your belongings, your dignity, and a respectful experience, stay somewhere else.
Hotel provided a very calm environment and I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet
I love the staff
I had a very pleasant stay at Almeroz Hotel. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, offering a great balance between comfort and value.
It is really a Muslim friendly hotel. You can hardly find this type of hotel even in a Muslim majority countries.
Efficient staff, 5 star housekeeping and good dining options is also a plus.
I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel, especially during breakfast at their restaurant. I requested a sunny-side up egg, but the staff member simply pointed me to a tray of already cooked eggs. The one I picked was cold, so I had to go back and ask for a fresh one. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only issue, almost all the food I tried was cold and far from fresh.
The worst part? While checking the fruit section, I spotted a cockroach crawling alarmingly close to the dragon fruit platter. I immediately called the manager to witness the situation and filed a complaint. It was absolutely unacceptable and raised serious hygiene concerns.
Additionally, the hotel itself feels old and outdated. There’s no way this place deserves a 5-star rating, it’s misleading and definitely not worth the price.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. My experience was disappointing from both a service and cleanliness standpoint.
Very great place for those seeking Islamic environment. Very supportive staff. And in particular the services extended by staff Giant was exceptional. Very developed a great bond during our stay at Al Metoz. Very nice person. Always very helpful.
I had a wonderful stay at Meroz Hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Giant, Anuchit, and Eddy, who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with an impressive selection of fresh, juicy fruits and vegetables. I especially loved that steamed yam and sweet potatoes were served daily.
The housekeeping service was also efficient and highly attentive to all my requests, always responding promptly. Staying at Meroz Hotel truly made me fall in love with Bangkok, and I would definitely choose to stay here again 🥰
Halal Hotel
I’d like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the team at Al Meroz Hotel in Bangkok, with a very special mention to Giant, the front desk manager, who truly stands out for his exceptional service. Before our trip, we had read glowing reviews about Giant—and he absolutely lived up to every word of praise.
From the moment we arrived, Giant was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. He helped us arrange a room change to one with a disabled-friendly toilet for my husband, ensuring we were comfortable and well cared for. He also went the extra mile by connecting us with David, a helpful and reliable van driver who assisted us throughout our stay, making travel around the city much easier. In addition, Giant helped us arrange for massage services, which was a thoughtful touch that added to our comfort and relaxation.
Eddie, the friendly bellboy, also deserves a mention for his cheerful attitude and help with our luggage.
The breakfast buffet was generally good, offering a decent variety. However, the fried rice and glass noodles were quite bland and could use more flavor. When we shared this feedback, the restaurant manager didn’t seem to take it seriously and barely acknowledged our comments. A more open and approachable attitude—perhaps even just a smile—would have made the dining experience more pleasant.
Despite that, our overall stay was smooth, restful, and memorable, thanks largely to the exceptional service from Giant and the support of staff like Eddie. Al Meroz Hotel is highly recommended, especially for those looking for thoughtful, personalized hospitality.
Really beautiful hotel. Beautiful lobby with lots of seating options. Bell boys are friendly and attentive and nice uniforms . Check in was easy and friendly . Breakfast was delicious.
Had lots of questions for the concierge . The man GIANT (his name ) was very friendly and helpful. He helped me with tours and shopping . He was very patient with me. Room was beautiful . Pool had an amazing view especially at night
The hotel was a definite choice because it is halal-friendly, therefore we do not need to worry about breakfast and our other meals. Next to the restaurant, there are also a lot of other halal-friendly restaurants.
We have only two gripes with the hotel:
#1 We contacted the hotel to arrange for an airport transfer but received no reply. When we attempted to clarify, the reception pushed the blame to the booking platform instead - no apologies given.
#2 and this was a bigger one: the carpet in our room (due to its light colour) looked dirty and had a lot of stains. This totally messed with us and made us wonder about the cleanliness of the remaining items around the room, such as the upholstery, the curtains, etc. We resorted to having our shoes on in the room, and couldn't bring ourselves to sit on the carpet (when we needed to unpack / pac / etc) and had lay a towel on.
Otherwise, the lobby staff and the doormen were all very friendly and super helpful with tips on places to go / eat, and the breakfast buffet selection was quite alright too.
We'd recommend it for its halal-friendliness, but...be prepared for the condition of the room.
Enjoyed our stay. Clean place. Friendly staff.
Al Meroz Hotel need to upgrade and change the Breakfast menu. It had been the same for the past 3 years since I first stayed there and I had been returning to stay at the hotel for twice yearly since.
The hotel is clean and staffs are nice. The roads around the hotel gets really busy to go around with taxi so you may want to add extra time ahead.
