The quest signage should be illuminated- drove past it 3 times before I found the place - at 11pm at night it’s quite dark on those side streets and if name was lit up on side of building we wills have found easier

I liked how the room had all the appliances (dishwasher, washing machine) I liked how large the shower was, and I liked how there were movies that were free to watch. I liked how the curtains were so good I didnt realise it was light out.
We arrived in Taupō late and the reception was already closed. After ringing the doorbell, we were told our reservation couldn’t be found. Booking.com showed it as confirmed and paid, but their system had it cancelled — apparently because we cancelled one room, it somehow wiped the entire booking.
The onsite manager came down, checked everything, and got straight into action. Even though we were initially told the place was fully booked, he made a few calls and managed to sort us a room for the night.
The real win was what happened next — the team reassured us they’d “look after us,” and they actually delivered on that. By the next day, everything was sorted and we didn’t have to move at all. Huge relief, especially over Easter Friday when finding last-minute accommodation would’ve been a nightmare.
Aside from that hiccup, the stay itself was great — clean, well-maintained, and comfortable beds. Big credit to the staff for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience.

Shower did not drain away properly
Spacious room with great facilities. Staff super friendly and had everything we needed. Would 100% stay again. The washing machine and dryer in the rooms were such a treat after travelling without for 2 weeks.

Bathroom wasn't very clean, the sink in the bathroom was a bit blocked took a awhile for the water to drain. Pillows were very thin

On previous stays the accommodation was great but this stay the room was pokey, bed very uncomfortable and the heat pump wouldn’t warm the room even though it was March the room was icy and the bed felt damp. The staff were nice.
As stated above room pokey, icy cold as heat pump wouldn’t heat the room and bed felt damp. I have stayed in other Quest Apartments around NZ and this is the worst.
