Mothballed, no elevator or staff. Kitchen and bar shuttered. I did not register and found somewhere else. To his credit the manager gave me a full cash refund. Pity, as I have stayed there several times and if it reopens I would reconsider
Good
The hotel is not as advertised on Expedia. We got there and learnt that breakfast was not included, even though it says that it is on Expedia. We also saw that they have closed their kitchen and turned the bar into an art sale space so there isn’t a cozy place to hang out or eat at the hotel. We got a junior suite so that we could take a bath after a long trek around the Annapurna circuit but the tub stopper didn’t work so it wouldn’t hold water. The elevator was also out of commission. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and the room was clean. Overall, this is more of a glorified tea house rather than a hotel and definitely not worth over $100USD per night
in this hotel inside of decoration so nice i felt like i was in haven everything built by stone it's look like so i will back again the place are very near by lake and easly i can visit arroung the fewa lake best place and best food and best service thankyou
Sweet space directly across the road from the lake. clean rooms. lovely service. we stayed during low season and imagine that during high season it is even better.
Everything was perfect But i requested a birthday cake for my wife and management said they would arrange it but till the day we left. No one responded nor tried to arrange it and front desk didnt even know about it. Communication was horrible.
The hotel’s location was its biggest selling point. It immediately overlooked the lake and had nice views.
The kitchen staff were not great and got our food orders wrong twice.
Our payment was supposed to be refunded and still hasn’t been processed even after more than a month. The elevator did not work and our rooms were on the fifth floor. There are no rooms below the third floor. It turns out that they had a generator that could operate the elevator, and just didn’t want to turn it on. my room was fine and the decoration was cute, but my friend’s room had mosquitoes, and the screen was torn in the windows. There is no spa on the property. We were told that the power was out for the whole neighborhood, but the restaurant next-door had power, so that’s hard to believe. The front desk staff were very kind and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine with hot water. They provided drinkable water. It really was the elevator issue that made this impossible. I am unable to do that many staircases on a good day, and certainly not for vacation, so we had to move hotels.
expensive for Pokhara but you get a rooftop terrace with a panoramic view, air-con that works, cosy when its winter, a good breakfast and quality staff. Choose the upper floors for that view.
Repeat visitor for the last 5 years, says it all really...........
Staff were lovely and so helpful. That said, Spa was closed for repairs. Bath tub leaked from underneath and pooled in bathroom floor. Elevator didn't work half the time. Breakfast was a very limited ala carte menu. Bar didnt have proper change.
The Hotel Glacier is a wonderful value. My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and each day we started with a delicious made-to-order breakfast. The omelettes, seasoned potatoes, and lattes were stand-outs and the service was friendly and attentive. Our last evening we also savored a scrumptious wood-fired pizza from the Hotel Glacier Harbor Restaurant and sat out in the delightful patio near a large fire pit. One of the best aspects of the Hotel Glacier is the central location in the Lakeside neighborhood of Pokhara near many boutique shops and restaurants and adjacent to picturesque Phewa Lake. The fantastic location is combined with friendly and knowledgeable reception staff who were very helpful when I needed to use their phone on multiple occasions to adjust flights due to a family emergency. The concierge also allowed me to check out late, with no additional charge, which worked perfectly with catching a late afternoon flight. Another standout quality of the Hotel Glacier is the amazing terrace on every floor. We stayed on the sixth level and we took in the sunset each evening. The sunrises were even better as the Annapurna and Fishtail mountain peaks are clearly visible and basking in the morning glow.
The Glacier Hotel is the most modern and up to date hotel in Pokhara. The rooms are of amazing quality with plenty of space and roomservice of highest standard. Their balcony has what I believe to be the best view of Pokhara and the Phewa lake. Definitely the best place to stay when visiting Pokhara!
The Glacier hotel is a very detail oriented establishment. The owner is very present and attentive to your every need. The rooms are very clean and modern. The resturantt serves great food and the best coffee in town. The kitchen lives up to European standards in regards to cleanliness. Overall this hotel is, in my humble opinion, the best in Pokhara.
The Glacier is a lovely hotel situated on the lakeside. The staff and owner are very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble.
Rooms are spacious and had great Mountain View’s.
The bar, restaurant and outside courtyard are perfect areas to escape the huddle and bustle of the main strip. Great food and a selection of local beers made this a perfect place to rest and recovery after our trekking on the Mardi Himal.
Pokhara is a wonderful city which we will definitely return to.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was convenient to all activities. The buffet breakfast that was included was delicious. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. We had a wonderful time here!
The owner upgraded us to a honeymoon suite and took us to the airport . Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!!
Nice place to stay, although the spa wasn’t operating.
Ho soggiornato nella camera all'attico, con ampia terrazza esterna, vista bellissima del lago e montagne alle spalle. Camere ben arredate.
Very nice place and great staff
Greatly located with very original concept and decoration. Complimentary airport pick with a driver who was of good fun.
Very helpful staff, both at restaurant and front desk. We appreciated the help in organizing tour.
Finally the room was beautiful, comfortable and with a view on snowcaped mountains. Thank you Rajendra and team
This boutique hotel is super comfy, has large quiet rooms and even a bath tub! Love the furnishings and the location.
