Good location and friendly staff
Air conditioning did not function and no hot water - to be fair - we didn’t report it to staff as first day seemed fine but both failed on our last night. We informed them at check out - but obviously nothing they could do about it then.

Excellent historic property with very tasteful room decorations and very clean. Far preferable to any chain hotels in this town . Very nice staff who handled issues that rose with hot water for one room very well.

Room was beautiful, extremely comfortable bed, VERY spacious and super quiet. For being right in the central part of town with bars surrounding the hotel you couldn't hear a thing. I believe they recently updated the soundproofing on the windows. The hotel is incredibly charming and well decorated. The staff is super friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
The breakfast was quite bad, perhaps the worst chilaquiles I've ever eaten. We refused breakfast all together for the remaining 6 days of our stay.
There was no breakfast available.
Leaking A/C contributing to extensive ceiling mold.
Bathroom sliding door non functional.
Unusable shower/tub due to extremely low levels of water pressure and high levels of dirt. Shower hardware disabled.
No chairs on balcony.
Dirty surfaces, the room had not been cleaned for some time.
Light bulbs burned out, no replacement.
Drapes in disrepair and non functional. Unable to view any outside features.
Refused breakfast service due to "event," despite advertised sign in lobby.
After showing these defects in the room, Manager-On-Duty offered a only a cup of coffee as compensation and became hostile to our complaints.

We were really disappointed in this hotel all the way around. The room smelled bad -- not a sewer kind of smell in the bathroom that is somewhat common in Mexico - the entire room smelled bad - like a dirty diaper. There are two bars that stay open very late and play music so loudly that you can feel the pulsation (bass) in your body while you are trying to sleep. One bar is adjacent to the hotel. The other bar is directly across the street. It was like a battle of the bands --- really bad bands too. Also, we stored our luggage after checkout and the front desk *offered* to reserve a taxi for us at a specific time. Evidently they forgot to make the arrangements; after 40 minutes of waiting while they claimed several times the driver was 5 minutes away we lucked into flagging down a taxi ourselves. If our bus had been on time we would have missed it. I rarely write bad reviews, but I feel like this is necessary so other travelers don't have the same awful experience. I do NOT know how this hotel has received the rating they have on Booking.

There is no parking available, you need to find a parking lot by yourself.
