Pros:

The decor of the building and the comfort of the large bed and room were excellent. We were welcomed immediately and felt right at home. The courtyard was lovely with a gas fireplace to enjoy. The room temp was kept cool as it was extremely hot outside. Breakfast was tasty and the staff were very friendly.

Cons:

I wished there was a bit of larger breakfast options like more yogurt or a waffle maker as I'm allergic to eggs and there were mostly egg options. The coffee wasn't strong but my husband liked it and I'm probably just picky with my coffee.

Weekend expedience
Pros:

Wonderful recent weekend stay at Gilded.
The hotel is in the perfect location to explore Newport by foot.
The hotel experience certainly felt very guest friendly and welcoming throughout our stay and the rooms are beautiful and well appointed.
The complimentary small plates breakfast was superb.
Will be back !!!!

Quick Getaway was 👌
Pros:

The Gilded was a beautiful hotel with an vintage feel. The rooms were gorgeous with hardwood floors and antique furniture. The bed was super comfortable and the shower (though a bit small) was great for temperature and pressure. Katey was so warm and engaging when we arrived. She made sure to show us around and give us fresh hot homemade chocolate chip cookies! Though we were there for the off season (Black Friday) the hotel had some guests but Newport was still alive. We would definitely come back next year. Also parking is in the back of the building which was so great. We walked everywhere even though it was chilly because the nightlife was so close.

Fantastic stay for us we loved it!
Pros:

Lovely place, fantastic breakfast and afternoon cookies. Great size room, comfortable bed, nice decor. Such helpful staff, really loved our stay. Great location not far from cliff walk.

Cons:

Just the sash window had a large gap between frames that needed fixing. Nothing else!

Cancelled no apology , and still no refund
Pros:

We booked this hotel in December 2024 for our stay in October 2025 . The day before our stay the hotel cancelled our booking , with no apology . One month later and we are still waiting for our money to be returned

So unique and amazing!
Pros:

Katie made our experience so amazing. From even before we checked in she was contacting us to let us know that the room was available early. From the moment we arrived she made us feel welcome and went out of her way to do everything possible to make sure we have the best experience ever!

Guilded was very cozy for a fall stay in Newport!
Pros:

I loved the decor, felt very homey, welcoming, safe, and comfortable! Bethany was very helpful, nice, and gave some great recommendations for Newport. Quiet and the room was very clean and perfect. The sheets were the best part, so soft!

Cons:

Nothing, I wanna come back already!

Amazing Stay
Pros:

What an amazing stay at The Gilded! A hidden gem in our opinion. Beautiful, clean and comfortable. Katie was so friendly and helpful-an absolute pleasure. Hotel location was perfect for walking around and having parking available for guests was great. Very quiet block. Beautiful breakfast in the mornings. Will definitely be staying again!

We absolutely loved the feel of the property, really beautifully decorated and thought out. The check in process was a breeze, even arriving after hours. The lovely cookies and coffee etc were a nice touch and we would definitely stay here again - highly recommend!

We traveled as a couple specifically to run the Newport Marathon, and this hotel served our needs well.

Convenient location and quiet comfort: The location was excellent. It was incredibly convenient, close to downtown access while still being quiet, and the proximity to the race start line was a major benefit. The bed was very comfortable.

Helpful service: Bethany at the front desk was kind and helpful. We especially appreciated that she accommodated a late checkout request so we could shower after finishing the race. That flexibility made a big difference to our day.

Practical touches: The place was made cozier by the B&B-style decoration, and we appreciated the generous supply of towels in the bathroom.

Cons:

While the property met our needs, we felt a few areas could be improved. The parking area was quite tight for the number of guests. Inside the room, the storage space was limited, and the bathroom was a bit small. Lastly, we found the pricing to be a bit high.
