Pros:

The staff and breakfast were great and went beyond expectations. The staff couldn't have been any nicer or accommodating. The house was beautiful and from what we could see in the other rooms, great.

Cons:

My daughter and I traveled together and opted for the Queen suite so we would both have a bed. The two rooms were really small and there was only one bed and a pull out couch. I felt the advertisement was deceptive. Also the room was VERY, VERY expensive so I expected a suite or at least two beds. We made due with it but felt the small room was WAY over priced for what we got.

Beautiful property near Thames street. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops.
The room was small but very clean.

The room did not have a closet just a hanging rack and not enough hangers.

Stay here!! It's a Newport Gem!
Pros:

Decor is beautiful, great location, rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the employees are wonderful! The breakfast is awesome too!

Very Relaxing and Comfortable
Pros:

We always enjoy our stay at Lark properties and The Gilded was no exception. Since we were traveling from New Jersey, the front desk went above and beyond to ensure our room was ready early. Our king room was open, clean, and felt very big. There was a large closet and dresser. Despite the bathroom being small, it was well designed and comfortable. The front porch and courtyard were great areas to enjoy breakfast or a cup of coffee & their delicious chocolate chip cookies. The Gilded is walking distance from everything you’d want to see in Newport and a short drive from local beaches. It’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, away from the busier downtown area. Parking was easy and always available, despite The Gilded being fully booked. We will absolutely be back the next time we come to Newport !

Adorable place, loved the staff and “ gilded” theme and decor!
Cons:

My petite Queen had wonderful soft lighting - ambiance, but no good lighting for cleansing and applying makeup.

Mattress was well used on one side… I needed to sleep on wall side…

I would come back , but only if you had more breakfast options for gluten free, lactose free people!
Pros:

90% of it! The bed, the location, the house decor/style, the staff, the shower, the pool table! Free parking! Clean and lovely. Loved, that there were coffee and tea options all day! Loved that I was able to use some ice for my cooler when I was leaving for our long car ride.

Cons:

I wish there would have been more accommodations for gluten free, lactose free people like me. The eggs had cheese and the other options I could eat were cold. I would have liked a plain eggs and bacon/sausage option option. Or Gluten free pancakes etc. It's quite a high day rate for not that many breakfast options. Our room only had one chair. It needs another chair for two people to be able to sit and have a conversation. If you've got back issues, you can't sit on the bed for too long. The shower needs a bar for safety and a small shelf or hooks for wash cloth and other toiletries.
