Not sure if I’d stay again, I would prob arrange family to drive me there direct if needed..

Cons:

Staff were average in their service .
Plus disappointed that they couldn’t provide a shuttle service to the airport for me, I was told that the shuttle bus there was for staff and airline staff.
Given I had knee surgery only appx 7 months ago it was a long slow difficult walk down to the airport..

Pros:

Staff very good including reception, restaurant, and housekeeping, car parking convenient. Room and facilities were clean and comfortable. Food was okay but nothing special.

Cons:

Cylindrical pillow on the bed not as good as a flat pillow for a small person. Bed and linen all quite comfortable.

Newcastle was a stop-over point before driving back to Queensland, after travelling to Victoria.
Pros:

Newcastle was a stop-over point before driving back to Queensland. Was a great place to stay, a little bit out of the way, but suited our needs.
Room was great, super friendly staff, and restaurant served great food..
