Pros:

The decor was very "designer". Bed was comfortable. The breakfast had several choices including a wonderful egg/cheese bake, yogurt, fruit and croissants. Check-in was easy.

Cons:

The Attwater is a bit out of the main tourist area so you need to either walk or drive and "re-park" your car.

Over the top modern decor but quite comfortable.
Pros:

Peter greets you with enthusiasm and kindness. The breakfast is simple but good. My suite was very spacious.

Cons:

Our refrigerator didn’t work, and the shower failed to drain properly. The decor wasn’t my style but was acceptable. Though it was winter, there wasn’t an extra blanket in the room. No charging port — a real downside.

A wonderful fall weekend at the Atwater
Pros:

My wife and I just spent a fabulous weekend at The Atwater, and it was every bit as special as we remembered. Our room was large, sunny, and beautifully designed, with a cozy fireplace that made it feel like our own private retreat. The staff were outstanding — warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our stay perfect. We love that the hotel is just far enough from the bustle of downtown Newport to be quiet and relaxing, yet still an easy walk or quick drive to everything. This was our second visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect for a romantic getaway in Newport !
Pros:

This small hotel is well-maintained and conveniently located. We enjoy walking, so we explored all of Bellevue Avenue and the mansions on foot. The decor is both cozy and stylish. The fresh breakfast is a delight—there are options for everyone. Even if you follow a keto diet like I do, you’ll find boiled eggs, yogurt, berries, and egg bites. If you prefer carb options, there’s homemade cake, cereal bars, bread, jam, and overnight oats. The café in the lobby, available at any time, is also a nice touch. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

We had an awesome time.
Pros:

Central location to cliff walk and the oyster festival. Very Good coffee available around the clock. The bed and pillows were 10 plus. I slept like a baby. My room was a good size. Plenty of free parking .

Cons:

The bathrooms were small. The stairs going upstairs were slightly off 2nd to age. The breakfast was ok but not like the reviews led me to believe.

A great place to stay in Newport.
Pros:

The hotel is in a great area for exploring Newport. It’s away from the busy centre but close enough to walk to all the amenities. Our room was a good size and very comfortable and parking was a bonus. Can definitely recommend Pasta Beach restaurant, a two minute walk from the hotel.

Cons:

The walls are very thin, so you can hear the other guests really easily.

Clean, chic and cozy! We stayed in the kind deluxe, the bed was comfy. Although we didn’t have the breakfast offered it looked delicious!!! Friendly staff, we will be back!
